If you don't consider the price of the scene it doesn't indicate profitability. If the scene is underpriced it will look more attractive. A higher priced scene selling less might still make more money in total.
What are you saying you disagree with?
We're not trying to indicate profitability at all. That information is internal to each studio. Completely irrelevant to a league table of models' popularity.
You could argue the case for measuring a model's popularity by sales revenues.
But the ticket price for a 15x1 scene will likely be higher than a 1x1.
If both scenes sell the same number of units, is the model in the 15x1 scene more popular just because the sales revenues were higher?
I don't think so.
FWIW I'm not sure at the top end of the popularity tables that under or overpricing a scene for a popular big-name model would necessarily make a huge difference in sales volume. Those girls have established fan bases who will likely buy their scenes even if they grumble about the price. But as customers we don't have a reliable benchmark to gauge under or overpricing. It's subjective.
For a new and unknown girl then I think obvious mispricing for her scene can result in lower sales and the studio not booking her again because "she didn't sell". That's a pity. I wrote the same argument when IV released IV429 with new girl Emma and priced it at 5 tkts.
But new unknown girls probably wouldn't be challenging on the top pages of "popular models" yet anyway.
