The framerate is the culprit or more specifically the codec/resolution/framerate combo.
On smart TVs there are more or less limitations of what type of this combo they are able to play. I think for LG it's only maximum 30 fps
in 3840x2160 when using H-264 (even must be Main Profile, not High Profile).
I believe Samsung Tizen OS TVs can do 3840x2160 in 60 fps but there's bitrate limitation.
All these limitations are tied to the limited computing power in their embedded hardware.
Certainly there are far less limitations when using HEVC (h.265) codec instead that's why I was asking here before, why the hell LP 4k videos are not
in HEVC codec? They would be approx. half the size and more compatible.
When some of you have problems playing Gonzo 50fps 4k videos even on their computers, it's the same problem with TVs. 50fps (opposed to 29.97 from Gio) means more data and thus computing power to process when playing.
