Unpopular opinion: Scenes should be shorter.

People have short attention spans these days. 60 minutes for a single scene is way too long. I wonder how many people watch them from start to end. Brazzers changed their model to 30 minutes scenes over the past years. I know these are gangbangs but still 40 minutes should be the max. Plenty of time to cover everything. There's no need to show the same position for 15 minutes (Looking at you IV studio).

I think the are some reasons why most studios trim scenes down to 30 mins.

They want to sell DVDs and fit 5 scenes into one disk. To increase the likelihood of people buying the product, for at least one scene.

They are thinking that longer access require more bandwidth to download and are trying to maximize profit.

They are trying to reduce the amount of time they spent editing the scenes. The encoding process is a huge time sink.

There are probably more.

That being said, as a consumer I appreciate that LP gives us longer lasting scenes. And I wish that 60 min scenes become the lowest amount of footage they offer.

I usually shorten your 55min average scenes to just about that length by watching max. 2min intro, going straight to 1st anal insertion for 1-2min, going to doggy DAP warm-up and than starting with what really matters for me, your "core of the matter", which is DAP-ing and the girls reactions to it for me. Ideally that part lasts 20-30min cut. Than 2-3min cum-shots. Thus: 5min warm-up incl. first DAP position + 20-30min core action + max 5min cs and cuties waving goodbye = 30-40min.

Still, with more complex scenes and lots of position changes 60 to 80min to choose my "core of the matter" footage from is better. Thus all in all I'd opt for longer, not shorter scenes.

One advantage of longer scenes is it allows you to show longer sections of each type of content, which is good for those who like particular things rather than a bit of everything. I'm a huge fan of standing anal for example, as it allows for great whole body shots to also show off the women's legs and shoes. For me one of the things I love about some of your films is where you have long sections of just this but if you were to try and shorten scenes I'd guess you'd look to shorten this to focus on things like the DAP for example. Other people however presumably really like the DAP parts which, no offence, don't do much for me as they lack the intensity of deep and fast single anal penetration. My point being that longer scenes allow you to cater for more people in one go.

I agree with the OP. I rarely need the whole scene so it can almost be a chore to sit through the whole thing. I also think the scene length means the guys are pacing themselves more, which reduces the heat and intensity. In Gio's scenes the guys often don't even make any noise, which I think is linked to the methodical kind of way they're fucking and just comes across as very unnatural. I'd rather see a more explosive, animal kind of sex, even if it means less on screen fucking time. The guys should basically be fighting each other to get at the girl(s).

In some ways Gio's scenes are a victim of their own success. As they go straight to anal they leave themselves nowhere to go in many ways so the only way to raise the heat (or at least try to) is to do DAP for 30 mins or something. But for me it's that single anal section I'm likely to get off on. I'm not saying the scenes should revert to the old Private formula of blow job>pussy>anal/DP - stick to the straight-to-anal certainly - but then look to mix it up a bit and maintain a focus on harder fucking for a shorter period over marathon type DAP/TAP sex.
