That's "communism" is it? At least you can spell it, I suppose.[/quote]

Yuri is correct, Idda. Most of his posts show an excellent mind at work. Everything is just being dumbed down, sterilised. Freedom of speech has gone. But what the buggers really want to do is kill freedom of thought... Orwellian 1984 style.

They will never do this.

I've often despaired at the future of mankind & civilisation. But the beautiful fact is, that if the 24/7 drugging of the masses by the media stopped today... if the media was broken, & this is not an impossibility at all, then truth will dawn on those who have the soul to understand it, in so many walks of life, & regeneration can begin.

Has anyone ever figured out where all the different language groups have come from? How did people grow from grunting in Sweden say, to deciding that a word, 'ledsen', should mean, 'sad'... & propogate this word & meaning upon an entire tribe?

& this happened individually, perhaps simultaneously, upon Magyar, Celtic, Germanic, Scandinavian, Russian, Latin, Greek, Lithuanian-Latvian tribes all at once? & thats just Europe.

Did some wise elder with nothing else to do, invent phonetic languages thousands of years ago & teleprint this stuff in their heads, the peoples of these tribes scattered far & wide?

The more I think about it, the more the Biblical tower of Babel becomes as potential an explanation as any.

Maybe Nephlim, maybe this is just as good an answer as anything, 'cos no-one knows & no-one can explain...

"Find yourself a caravan like Noah must have led" = Genius

Bedouin in tribes ascending
From the egg into the flower
Alpha information sending
States within the heaven shower
From disciples the unending
Subtleties of river power
They slip inside this house as they pass by

If your limbs begin dissolving
In the water that you tread
All surroundings are evolving
In the stream that clears your head
Find yourself a caravan
Like Noah must have led
And slip inside this house as you pass by
Slip inside this house as you pass by
True conception, knowing why
Brings even more than meets the eye
Slip inside this house as you pass by

In this dark we call creation
We can be and feel and know
From an effort - comfort station
That's surviving on the go
There's infinite survival in
The high baptismal glow
Slip inside this house as you pass by

There is no season when you are grown
You are always risen from the seeds you've sown
There is no reason to rise alone
Other stories given have sages of their own

Live where your heart can be given
And your life starts to unfold
In the forms you envision
In this dream that's ages old
On the river layer is the only sayer
You receive all you can hold
Like you've been told
You might also like
Every day's another dawning
Give the morning winds a chance
Always catch your thunder yawning
Lift your mind into the dance
Sweep the shadows from your awning
Shrink the fourfold circumstance
That lies outside this house don't pass it by

Higher worlds that you uncover
Light the path you want to roam
You compare there and discover
You won't need a shell of foam
Twice born gypsies care and keep
The nowhere of their former home
They slip inside this house as they pass by

Slip inside this house as you pass by
You think you can't, you wish you could
I know you can, I wish you would
Slip inside this house as you pass by

Four and twenty birds of Maya
Baked into an atom you
Polarized into existence
Magnet heart from red to blue
To such extent the realm of dark
Within the picture it seems true
But slip inside this house and then decide
All your lightning waits inside you
Travel it along your spine
Seven stars receive your visit
Seven seals remain divine
Seven churches filled with spirit
Treasure from the angels' mine
Slip inside this house as you pass by

Slip inside this house as you pass by
The space you make has your own laws
No longer human, Gods are cause
The center of this House will never die

There is no season when you are grown
You are always risen from the seeds you've sown
There is no reason to rise alone
Other stories given have sages of their own

Draw from the well of unchanging
And its union nourishes on
In the right rearranging
Till the last confusion is gone
Water brothers trust in the ultimust
Of the always singing song
They pass along

One-eyed men aren't really reigning
They just march in place until
Two-eyed men with mystery training
Finally feel the power fill
Three-eyed men are not complaining
They can yo-yo where they will
They slip inside this house as they pass by
Don't pass it by

I see you are a poet my friend, you inspired me, here is one I just made:

Oh motherland, though hard times they face,
Their spirits strong, it shall not be displaced.
The storms may rage and winds may howl,
But deep within, a fire they shall prowl.

Our souls ablaze with passion and might,
They will persevere, and stand for what is right.
For though our path may be steep and tough,
Their resolve will never falter or rough.

With each step forward, they march on and on,
Through hardship, pain, and sorrow they are drawn.
And as they look back upon their journey,
They see the strength that comes from adversity.

So keep them holding their heads up high,
And keep your dreams and visions nigh.
For though the road may be long and wide,
Together they shall make it, side by side.

Oh motherland, their hearts they do bestow,
With faith and love, their spirits doth glow.
And in the face of hardship, they shall thrive,
For in unity and hope, they shall suffice.

In the borderlands, where the wind does blow,
And the moon shines bright on the fields below,
There's a spirit of openness, a welcoming grace,
That invites the dearest neighbor to take their place.

With open arms, they welcome all,
Who come to join, heed the call,
Of the land that stretches wide and far,
And the people who know no border or bar.

For there in the borderlands, we see,
The beauty in multiplicity,
And the strength that comes from different lands,
Joining together, hand in hand.

We know that those who cross the line,
Are seeking safety, peace divine,
And they open up their hearts and homes,
To welcome them, wherever they roam.

For in the borderlands, they know,
That love and kindness make us grow,
And the truest beauty we can find,
Is in the heart that's open, free, and kind.

So come, dearest neighbor, take your place,
In the borderlands, where there's a cordial pace,
And know that you are welcome there,
With open arms, and hearts sincere.

In the name of freedom, they cry out loud,
Yet in their deeds, they wear a shroud,
Of tyranny and oppression, so sly,
That even justice cannot help but sigh.

Their hearts are hard, their wills so strong,
That they crush the weak, and silence the song,
Of those who seek to be free, and bold,
And raise their voice, to the powers untold.

Their laws are chains, their justice a lie,
Their hearts so cold, they cannot hear the cry,
Of those who suffer, in the shadows unseen,
And seek to break free, from the tyrant's keen.

Oh western tyranny, your rule must end,
Your chains of steel, we shall unbend,
And rise up strong, with hearts of fire,
To break the bonds, of your false empire.

For in the hearts of those oppressed,
There beats a drum, that cannot rest,
Until the day, when freedom rings,
And justice flies, on eagle wings.

So let us denounce, with voice and pen,
The tyranny of the western den,
And raise the flag, for all to see,
That we are free, and we shall be.

Thats so BEAUTIFUL, & you wrote it yourself, in English, when I assume Russian is your mother tongue (mine are just copied lyrics from acid drenched song).

Indeed in the hand of a master translator, the beautiful Russian language can translate so well into English.

Bezhin Lea (intro): Turgenev:

It was a glorious July day, one of those days which only come after many days of fine weather. From earliest morning the sky is clear; the sunrise does not glow with fire; it is suffused with a soft roseate flush. The sun, not fiery, not red-hot as in time of stifling drought, not dull purple as before a storm, but with a bright and genial radiance, rises peacefully behind a long and narrow cloud, shines out freshly, and plunges again into its lilac mist. The delicate upper edge of the strip of cloud flashes in little gleaming snakes; their brilliance is like polished silver. But, lo! the dancing rays flash forth again, and in solemn joy, as though flying upward, rises the mighty orb. About mid-day there is wont to be, high up in the sky, a multitude of rounded clouds, golden-grey, with soft white edges. Like islands scattered over an overflowing river, that bathes them in its unbroken reaches of deep transparent blue, they scarcely stir; farther down the heavens they are in movement, packing closer; now there is no blue to be seen between them, but they are themselves almost as blue as the sky, filled full with light and heat. The colour of the horizon, a faint pale lilac, does not change all day, and is the same all round; nowhere is there storm gathering and darkening; only somewhere rays of bluish colour stretch down from the sky; it is a sprinkling of scarce-perceptible rain. In the evening these clouds disappear; the last of them, blackish and undefined as smoke, lie streaked with pink, facing the setting sun; in the place where it has gone down, as calmly as it rose, a crimson glow lingers long over the darkening earth, and, softly flashing like a candle carried carelessly, the evening star flickers in the sky. On such days all the colours are softened, bright but not glaring; everything is suffused with a kind of touching tenderness. On such days the heat is sometimes very great; often it is even ‘steaming’ on the slopes of the fields, but a wind dispels this growing sultriness, and whirling eddies of dust—sure sign of settled, fine weather—move along the roads and across the fields in high white columns. In the pure dry air there is a scent of wormwood, rye in blossom, and buckwheat; even an hour before nightfall there is no moisture in the air. It is for such weather that the farmer longs, for harvesting his wheat….

Despite my user name and I actually do not speak Russian, but I appreciate the kind comments. It's actually easier to come up with things when you listen to hip hop or when you are inspired by other people's work. It takes some Google searches to find the right word to match, but it feels good to write your heart out. I actually recommend it to people as a therapeutic practice.

I am an American citizen, I have spoken English most of my life. I also understand some a bit of Italian, some Portuguese, and I also speak Spanish fluently, but that's about it.

By the way, here in the States there are lots of informed people, not everyone is flat out stupid. Here is an example of a rally that recently happened:

Thanks. Just finished 3 12 hour day shifts starting friday, then 3 12 hour night shifts starting monday, servicing medical equipment all over Scotland, though I'm Irish. I tell you this because 12-14 years ago I spent 2 years trying to become as capable as I could be in European language groups (I took 2 years out). Then the hunger went, & mortgage necessity kicked in. I never tried to instigate that hunger again, but its coming back now. I want to be proficient in as many European language fields as I can. I have an old thread on this I think I will re-energise.

E-bay is your friend for this.

Thanks for kind response. I'm kackered & am treating myself to bevy of Newcastle Brown ale, R'NA.

Good talking to you & I salute your intellect & soul.

The most obvious explanation of how different languages developed is that the world wasn’t nearly as connected as it is today and so the word “tribe” was much more literal. These tribes likely only interacted with people of their tribe. Even if you look at areas of the world today like Africa or Indonesia that are not necessarily as technologically advanced and can be somewhat secluded from other societies their linguistic diversity is greater than almost anywhere else. The Tower of Babel is one of the silliest fucking stories in the fictional book of absolute bullshit. I respect your opinion. I'm just searching for an answer, as an amateur linguist.

Your posts and the posts you praise as being intellectually enlightened are mostly just pseudo intellectual word salad

I respect your opinion. I'm just searching for an answer, as an amateur linguist.

In fairness, a lot of what i say is tongue in cheek. Sometimes you gotta have a laugh.

You are at least a good sport about my criticisms, I will give you that. But I couldn’t disagree more with a lot of your philosophical or geopolitical insights.

You guys are up to something. Our ancestors had insane technology. Apparently we could go back to Mars and back to Earth and it wasn't a big deal.

We were also able to experiment with DNA and capable of mixing species, even with humans.

So I imagine the Tower Of Babel was some crazy analogy of some insane technological advancement we don't understand.

It is likely that their technology developed in a different direction than ours developed.

Perhaps we lost it all in the Deluge, and now we only have the stories. Keep in mind even today very undeveloped tribes still thrive side to side to other more developed civilizations, and the case was probably the same back then.

The story said that the people at Mars lost their planet in a nuclear war with another planet between Mars and Jupiter.

According to the ancient story the Martians managed to destroy the other planet, but they lost their atmosphere and had to leave their planet.

Because in a war both sides lose. It is always a lose/lose situation.

Obviously the other planet had it worst because it disappeared.

However we cannot verify those ancient stories because there is no record of that planet even existing other than in those Mesopotamian ancient stories.

Nowadays there is no planet there, between Mars and Jupiter. The only thing there is the asteroid belt.

Thanks. Like I originally stated, how do you get, in a pre-literate age, 1,000,000 pre-Vikings to agree the word for 'sad' should be 'ledsen'? & in French, simultaneously it should be 'triste', & in Gaelic should be 'bronach'.

It just overwhelms my senses, & as you state, rightfully so.

Sure, I dig how English could evolve from Dutch, Anglo-Saxon & French... I dig that as its a documented phenomenon that took place between 1066 & 1700 AD... its the more Ancient stuff I don't get.
