Perverx now offering LegalPorno movies... Is it Legal??!?

Postby analover30 » Mon Oct 10, 2016 2:34 am

Hello every body,

I open this ticket for the support guy advice, Petr Kapoun. Why this guy, Mark Zeri, owner of Perverx (the old guy) (www dot nofap dot com/forum/index.php?members/mark-zeri.49549/), is also selling the same video as Legalporno since more than half of a year on his site now? He can clearly see the the LegelPorno logo has been masked by Perverx logo. Is there other people who noticed that? Does it means that we can we sell the LegalPorno video too by putting our logo as Mark did on his site? (perverx dot com/index1.php)
I am confused... I expecting find other products on his site, not similar product as LegalPorno :/

Anybody agree with me that maybe the site Perverx is spoiling the site LegalPorno? Whas is the point to take a subscribe on Perverx if we can find same movie as here?

Anybody want to support LegalPorno against this spoil?
Thank you to all :)

It's definitely (old) Sineplex/LP scenes. But I don't know if Perverx licenced them legally or not. Hope someone from LP can confirm.

Well, I have already contacted someone from LP first. He said me that I have to discuss about it on the forum. And if there are a lot of people who confirm what you said, they will take some actions against Perverx.
I liked Perverx at the beginning because they did movies that we cannot find anywhere else. But now, it no worse to subscribe them if they give "fake" LP movies and if we can find originals here.
Anyone else can bring testimony about this to let LP react about it?
Thanks :)

Well, lp does not profit much from sales, it gets most of its profit from free porn sites who have free lp videos on them. Example: you started your own free porn site and downloaded there all your lp videos that you had on your pc, hoping it will be popular and will have a lot of traffic. And it worked! It became a little popular and some companies put their banners and popups there, and then you started making money and you are happy. Then one fine day an lp official calls you and says: i think you owe us some money. Your site content is stolen from us but guess what? You seem to be a nice guy, we like you, so if you start giving us 90% of your profit you can continue, and all site owners agree, cuz they do not have other option, no pay - and the site will be closed. I am just surprised that guy charges money for lp videos, i assure yiu nobody pays.

You're not making any sense. No direct sales = no studios = no scenes produced.

If you like porn or anything else and think it's okay to grab it for free all the time you are stupid. If everyone was like this there would be nothing produced.

In theory, xxx. In real world the point is you take into account a premise that somebody is not going to pay or at least somebody is going to pay and your income will varry on how you balance the product's price according to this phenomenon. Just like public transportation fees for example.

We can clearly see that on TKT prices.

I think one of a good approaches is to buy every product you like and don't buy nor PIRATE or WATCH any product you don't like.
Anyway market has a lot of self-adjusting properties for a lot of kinds of customers' behaviors.

After all, a good product will always survive, it most certainly will not be the best one (ie Apple), but more than satisfactory for most of its target customers. Niches are one of the very keys to keep customers, that's why I'm very happy for FM Studio addition.

If LP will be going down for a long time, there's usually something more than pirating. These forums reflects far more than a regular user might thing.

Excellent!

Can I suggest you also post here with the outcome?

Naming & shaming -- and if necessary, suing -- the pirates is something that your paying customers will enjoy reading about, and it will reconfirm to them that their own investments in purchasing videos here was worthwhile. I hope you'll also go after the LP customer(s) who uploaded, i.e., tried to give away for free -- to the pirates, if those are different individuals. Under U.S. law -- the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) & other intellectual property laws -- you can well and truly roast anyone subject to U.S. courts' jurisdiction, suing not only for statutory penalty-type damages and lost profits, but also your costs and attorney fees. You can monetize this as a revenue stream -- I hope y'all are already doing that. Go get 'em! :D

TL/DR version: Profits are essential for better porn.

I agree and disagree, kidloco2. The buffet-style all-you-can-download paysites appear to have almost given up on attempting to control piracy, and that's understandable give how easy pirating typically is and how wide the world is. They've chosen, as you suggest, to view piracy losses as a built-in component of their costs that they can't avoid or even much reduce. So they have to set their prices based on the premise that they're going to be losing much, or maybe even most, of their potential profits to pirates. That means they either have to raise prices to continue covering their own costs and making any profit, or they have to cut back on quality/output/investment into new product. I think they end up doing both, and they're also getting into these archive-sharing cross-licensing agreements, which in economic terms is like a factory selling its old inventory on the cheap through a discount outlet; the licensing revenue is better than nothing, they presume, but it undeniably cheapens the value of the inventory, while also diluting their "brand name" among loyal consumers.

LP has deliberately chosen a different business model that at least has the potential for more vigorous anti-piracy enforcement than any other pay website I've seen. Every additional step they take to discourage or shut down piracy protects and upholds the value of LP's inventory, by (legally) limiting its supply and making it more scarce. Likewise, every additional anti-piracy step LP takes also serves to enhance the value of our properly purchased and licensed libraries of LP videos; we can't re-sell them for our own profit, of course, but what we have in hand, saved to our personal computers for personal use, will continue to be scarce, unique, and costly to duplicate by anyone else.

xxx is right about the bottom line. If content-providers can't recover their costs and also make a profit, they stop making new content. But if they can be more efficient and profitable, they can not only continue to make new content, they can make ever-better content.

I will go a step further and say if you can't beat them, join them. LP can set up their own "illegal" site, and profit from advertising. Side income they don't need to split the profit with the studios.

Bottom line, you can't stop piracy. No way, no how. Best you can do is provide content people "WANT" to buy. Everything else is wishful thinking. You can't make people do anything. People need to "want" to do it. Build a dedicated customer base, give them what they want, and they will gladly provide the cash flow.

I think xxx might possibly already know something about running different website businesses

Best thing we can do is blow the whistle on piracy where we can - even if it is a game of whack-a-mole.

Buffet-style or "we have every studio" VOD paysites usually have enough active paying customers and high traffic ranking to cover for piracy loss, which are together with adverts and affils generating more than enough income to survive and make some money to grow.

Don't forget, adult business is a bit different than movie or music business, it always struggles with slow adopting new business models (unlike technology :D ), but it's a huge loss on one side but a huge income on the other side and it seems to be self-regulating. By teh way I've never heard of a porn company that went down solely due to piracy. Did you?

That's contradiction. I don't think you can make somebody WANT to buy something if the counterfeit product is gonna be EXACTLY the same as the original. As long as it is, the piracy keeps going.

It's not really about THE content. It's about THE things that you can't get with the pirated product which keeps people buying original stuff. Be it build quality, extras stuff, product merchandise, hands-on experience, "early experience" advantage connecting ppl on social media networks, whatever.

The question is what it can be on porn site?

So far the main tube sites seem to have mostly poor quality low-res knock-offs which take less storage and bandwidth. Quality costs so they cheap out.
They can push out the same on-screen ads and malvertising pop-ups etc. alongside any old content. Much of it is promos from the producers anyway.

IMO that's the edge the paysites need to maintain to stay ahead of the knock-offs. Fresh content, best technical quality e.g. huge hi-res files, fast downloads and/or cloud storage, clean websites without the malvertising pop-up bullshit.

It's the same as the old days with DVDs and before that VHS and even audio cassettes. Everything gets knocked off. But the knock-offs simply aren't as good. Even in the digital age when copying is easier than ever.

Those who can't/won't pay will always prefer the knock-offs from dodgy sources. Until some criminal in Bangladesh etc. hijacks their PC and steals their identity.

Those who can afford it, will want to get the good fresh product from a trustworthy source.

And maybe some minority would choose to pay anyway, for the talent & producers & distributors to do a good job.

I didn't say you can make someone "WANT" to do something. I said they have to want it themselves.

There will always be people that will not pay no matter what, you can not change that. They will find a way to get it for free, no way to stop it. As a product owner, it would not piss me off that someone is watching my work for free, because chances are that if they really like it, they may buy something in the future. What would piss me off more is that someone else is making money off my hard work.

And you have people that appreciate your work and reward you by buying your product. Those are the people you give what they are looking for. It is all about the content, at least for me.

Hmm, believe me, personally it would piss you off if you had one. Maybe that's why xxx is mad about it, but business wise you have to take it into account.

From my experience I don't think it applies to porn so much. It certainly works to some degree in mainstream markets, but even there it can be a death trap, because you start building on the volume of the sales and you must go down with your margin to keep up with the competition, where there will always be somebody cheaper.

I believe specializing is the key to success (thus avoiding competition). Translated to porn, niches and added values are the key. You can even see how erotic fairs changed so much last years towards socializing, general entertainment, VOD, etc.
That's what made so LP successful (regardless of the real major source of revenue). They focused on simple no brainer heavy anal with teens, and lately daps. How simple.

drevokocur66 wrote:And you have people that appreciate your work and reward you by buying your product.

I don't believe in that, especially in porn once it went all digital readily available online, where most of people watch it just for their own very short-time pleasure. If they have the chance to get for free, they will. Once it's done, it's over, it's not worth for most of them to pay for it, it must take a real connasseur to regulary pay for it. People don't want to pay for music, films, movies or public transport anymore, specially young people who are a big part of porn audience.
In my opinion adult movie business struggled big time not findingnew business models (or ppl don't want to change it), that's why you have to bring something extra ppl don't get when getting it for 0 $. By the way I believe in strong clever technical barriers, they are not solution but can help.

How simple.

Guess what... my first xvideo LP movie I saw for "free" was PMAO and made me visit the site and support it with my money.
I could have gotten all the scenes I bought for free, with no effort. I did not, because I appreciate the content and quality.
Everyone appreciates your honesty, until you're honest with them, then you're an asshole.
