I wanna know, before any decision is made, if it would feel empty if it were to go in the members-only direction.

Like, I'm pretty sure dpconnoisseur1 and DAP-addict are paying members. So we would still have them,
I mean, I disagree with almost everything that comes out of DAP-addict mouth, but he is part of the community, lol.

And for me, what attracted me initially to the forum, were the trailers and pictures that PC_82 would share,
but I stayed because it was an active community, talking about something I love, which is porn.

But if I could quantify how much I like the forum now, and compare to how I remember feeling about it, 5 years ago,
I'm just gonna say that, there is almost no conversation happening and almost everything is about requesting new models, pissing scenes and prolapse.

I understand the people who want X women to come to work at LP, but what bothers me, greatly, is that these people
spam the entire board, over and over and over, so for me, who likes reading the whole thing, seeing the same posts,
repeated multiple times across the entire board, makes it very frustrating to navigate.

So what ends up happening is that I just post much less often,
and feel less compelled to read the board and engage in the conversation.

I think it would be positive to go in the direction of members-only.

My bet is that, the people who request a model or celebrity,
that repeat the same request, across the entire board, in 4-5 different threads,
and the people who often come here and ask, "which scene is this?" (Probably to pirate it)
are all "freeloaders" and if they're gone, I'll be super happy, lol.

One thing is true, the spam (Random posts) has been reduced, maybe this thread did their job.

Anyone can post their opinions/tastes, in fact, there a lot of users that never post anything. Would be cool if the forum activity increse in the correct way, making a consistent posts with some arguments and not the tipicals posts like "Please XXXXX piss scene" or "Bring back XXX".

Also there are some interesting post (in my opinion) in the forum to share our opinions (eg. asshole appreciation thread, Scene request for paying users , Interesting ideas of some story lines. etc) but they doesnt have a good participation/posts. I think this should "change" an make an effort to share our opinions

After reading Magizi's post in response to GG feeding the trolls not buying scenes, I was wondering if we could add scene purchase amounts to the left most profiles when posting under 'member since'.

I'd also love to see this added in Pornbox as a simple count in all categories so that you can see how many of 'purchased', 'DAP (filter), or whatever.

This way all forum users, including GG and everyone else can see who has merit to have such strong opinions.

Posting in the forum should be for members only with an active membership. If you dont have an active membership you cant post and the posters forum name should be same as the name used to sign up to LP. For instance I signed up for LP with dpconnoisseur1 and post to the forum with that same name.

Maybe it will reduce the aggressive post with posters making unfounded claims about models, attacking them personally and attacking directors without using some tact.

I like the idea of indicating in some way who paying members are. I say this as when people are commenting on content and what they'd like to see I think there is value in the producers knowing this. I'm not sure locking out non-members would serve any real purpose though, and I can see might negatively impact new member recruitment.

FWIW I was a paying member with the Evil Angel website for years (primarily for Rocco's content) but there was no forum or meaningful place to comment. I do think the existence of this forum is a plus-point for LP.

I can see the arguments on both sides - obviously it would be a good way to stop various cretins and trolls showing up and annoying everyone with their garbage threads and opinions. However I'm against the idea, I don't like the idea of closing off the forum with the danger that you end up with something insular and, worse, self-congratulatory - I wouldn't want it to end up like the EBI forum which, as far as I can tell, is just the same 20 or 30 people posting the same things over and over again. I understand why Giorgio would be in favour - as a 'creative' - because it must be irritating as fuck to have your work constantly criticized by a bunch of anonymous people online. However, I can't see why xxx would be in favour of the idea as I believe it risks cutting off LP from potential customers and making LP seem like an exclusive club.

I think that's a good point. Plus of course some scenes may exceed expectations. Sales certainly don't tell the whole story.

I'm not personally keen on showing very detailed information of users purchasing history though, because I think it might put some off posting at all.

FWIW this month I've spent 47 of my 48 TKT subscription on 13 scenes: 7 Gonzo and 6 GG. As a new member only one of these was released this month though (Bonnie Parker's scene).
It's worth noting that scene costs affect purchasing numbers - I could have bought more scenes if I went for cheaper ones and fewer if I focused on the most expensive. In practice I bought a mix. Similarly number of scenes purchased will also be much higher for someone who bought a whole Gonzo month for a single payment whilst the amount spent would be about the same a I spent above. Just making the point that even if lots of data is given the interpretation of this isn't entirely straightforward, which limits its usefulness.

As it stands now, there are possibly some forum members that aren't subscribers to LP (of the paying) variety. I agree with your points, and the amount someone can afford to buy shouldn't dictate how seriously they're taken.

Unfortunately when people are white knights here trolling the hard work that goes into production, the least people can do is buy the occasional scene. Otherwise just don't share your opinion here and leave it for elsewhere.

Trolls and flooders simply mess the image of the forum, even with the "foe" option, what is the point of let them post over and over again? surely some of them even not spent any centim here so, why mods and admins doesnt take measures? the foe option has other purpose in my opinion than just put in them users that shouldn't be here. Yes thats a great Idea, and I support that even if it would maybe hit me also, because I spent hundreds of euros in the past, but I hardly spend more than 10-20 TKT per month for the last 1-2 years. Sometimes I find 1-2 scenes per months great, but not too many. I reloaded 42 TKT one week ago, bot buy 2 Gonzo and 1 GIO scene. But my overall consumption decreased drastically, because of several reasons (too much tip-fucking, too much piss, weird sex positions, less-doggy, chaotic-camerawork, too much full-frame filming,...).

The fairest way would be to consider the total amount of scenes + what was spent the last 3 months. We have to consider there are months with more (individually prefered) great content and months with less. In the bad months (individually) I would simply disappear from the forum then. Which someone of you might like
But if thats the price to make the forum cleaner, go ahead! I wont blame anyone!

There are also other daily valuable posters.
But important would indeed be sb at AV to take care to get at least some moderation here because indeed forum turns more and more into a mess with some recurring trolls posting the same message over and over in dozens of threads.
It's really annoying and driving people further away here!

Sure is also as Giorgio Grandi pointed out that the spending based direct chat option on Pornbox has rendered the forum another role. Users can communicate special wishes now directly.


Forum role would ideally be to gather a critical mass for an idea or an idea not shot often anymore. DVP was such a case, without forum discussions no serious studio would have invested in shooting that option.

Another important role of forum is the replacement an ever-absent coming-up-section.
Of course there are still a lot of speculations sometimes, but some posters for different reasons proof to be pretty good informed. Plus is its an interactive guessing - revealing some wishes and trends also.

Third, as already mentioned forum creates user ID and loyalty.

Forth, it would be great if the rear real reviews could be up-graded and ideally render some tickets. That would increase forum quality a lot!
xxx created an excellent tool with that gif-maker, but so far its 90% used for everything else than reviews.

Fifth, forum is an ideal place for porn nostalgists.



Finally I recently read 3-4 porn girls airing disgust and/or boredom with AVLP forum on social media. That makes me so sad! I'd wish posters would show more respect towards all performers.

Some basic knowledge of how these porn scenes are produced and also just general common sense about any kind of visual entertainment would help a lot. The first is explained here in many threads, but rookie posters visit model threads only usually and there it starts to get pretty nasty too soon. Imagine for once it was your thread and people would tell you what to do, what to wear or not etc!

But in reality the forum contains a mix of porn consumers including the more thoughtful ones like DAP-A and some others, but also at the other end of the scale including some immature and inadequate anons who may have mental health issues, zero social skills, or perhaps just want to troll the models.

That's sad and the models are entitled to feel disappointed and angry.

But, as the cliche goes, the customer is not always right, but he is always the customer.

Those sad and sometimes dusturbed forum posters are also customers and possibly the ones most likely to (over)spend on their obsessions here and at 0nlyfans etc.
