Download video quality degraded?

4K video downloads have been reduced in size to almost half. Is this a glitch or a reduction in quality going forward?

This topic is popping up all over the forum. And every time it pops up, I'll give my 2 cents.

It's a reduction in quality from a bitrate of 30 kbps files to 15 kbps. The result is less detail, and increased artifacts. While some people will not notice it, if you are like me and own a bomb LG 4k OLED, the new quality is noticeably worse. It basically looks like something between the old 15kbps 1080p and the old 4k. And this is very disappointing for the price we are paying for these scenes.

It's incredible that no one from the site has responded to the criticism. It's disrespectful to their customers.

I'm also disappointed, but my guess is their bandwidth costs have sky-rocketed after introducing 4K streaming. IMO they should just have different bitrates for downloads and streams.

I agree. comparing the olld 4k standard to the reduced quality now being offered shows a significant quality reduction on my 65'' OLED.

Please move back to previous 4K quality - or improve your compression settings.

i also have a 65inch OLED and hence have been a fan of the 4k quality from PORNWORLD. The high bit rate 15gb+ has less compression then almost all other PORNSITES.

However last time I downloaded was when my subscription ended in mid-February 2023.

So from when has the quality been reduced - which date approximately?
Is it on PORNWORLD.COM or other sites aswell?

can you give any 4k PORNWORLD file size examples with details of duration?

Basically will never subscribe again if the quality is so bad. I previously had access to a few 4k pornsites (ADULTIME and EVIL ANGEL) and never DOWNLOADED anything as have high standards in video quality which only a few sites could deliver = (1)PORNWORLD.COM post 2020, (2) DOGFARTNETWORK.COM (3) NRX-STUDIO

out of interest how are you playing videos to your LG OLED.

In my Case i have 65inch Sony OLED connected to Nvidia Shield Pro - it has 2 USB ports. Connected to hard drives. i use VLCPlayer on Shield Pro.

I also have a Mac Mini M1 with HDMI, but find the video quality is better via Shield TV Pro.

Yep, Facial Abuse 4k looks amazing at 60 mbps, as it should since you have to pay extra. Analvids looked quite good at 30 mbps, even if just under that chart's standard for 2160p SDR.

But as the chart shows, the current 15 mbps for 4k is a damn joke. It's a pretty noticeable degradation. I'll still be buying, but mostly older scenes now.

Even though it says shot in 4k, there's no purchase option to be found for 4k; only your old library if you have it.

They got rid of it. I even confirmed with them months ago, they said "we're having difficulties with the 4k offering right now". Pretty sure they just got rid of it, and didn't tell anyone.

I was not aware of the 4k purchases on DOGDARTNETWORK.COM. Thanks for pointing that out. I last purchased from then in January this year. - 2023 and was fine then.

May I ask what is the best video quality porn site for downloads in your opInion.

That response from Pornworld is super vague and doesn't reflect an understanding of the problem whatsoever. I don't generally buy Pornworld videos so I can't verify, but if the file size issue is going to be fixed it would be sitewide and not just on Pornworld. You know that you can get PW videos if you are an analvids member right? It doesn't require a separate membership

i prefer a monthly membership to pornworld as much cheaper and drive storage is so cheap these day.

Please return the old encoding bitrates:
4K (2160p) ~32000 kbps,
1080p ~12000 kbps,
720p ~4500 kbps,
480p ~2500 kbps.
These were excellent encoding bitrates!!!
We are really waiting!!! Thanks!!!
