I think it has something to do with the out of control prices of most of the normal studios. I believe more and more people are no longer willing to pay absurd amounts of money (compared to just one or two years ago) for a studio produced scene. They still need their porn fix, so they will go for the next best thing: amateur content which is mostly a lot cheaper although it is very different from studio porn in terms of content. Everyone feels the inflation, so if studios just keep increasing their prices it will eventually backfire and people will settle for less interesting but much cheaper content.

But OF and MV aren't cheap. In fact I almost made the point in my last post that whilst prices here had gone up significantly they seem more reasonable in the context of the prices of what we're discussing.

I was commenting more on the cheaper amateur scenes (though there are many that aren’t cheap as well) we get bombarded with on a daily basis over here. The contrast can be striking if you compare it to the ‘regular’ studios.

I really dont understand why Mexico studio closed. It was closer to the US and could have girls from Brasil, Cuba, Venezuela and US/Canada. I don´t know the economics in this branch, but the costs would also be lower than in the US.

It was personal problems of SOS at that time that halted production. Initially it was imported but not payed US-girls, but problem rooted deeper.

A working studio needs a reliable crew of people in the back organizing logistics, shootings and cash flow. You may have the best cameraman and some of the best cocksmen of porn world, but if logistics dont work out its all worth nothing.

I think AVLP investors is still burnt from that experience and therefore we have de-centralized studios in Rio and Medellin working on their own bills. Yummy has recently started to import girls from Colombia as well as Europe; NTP also started importing Eurobabes. They both might branch out to US girls imports once accumulated funds allow for that.

As an example I just checked, Mary Rock's videos on MV are ballpark $25 each (and ballpark 20 mins long). The couple of times I've checked on something there I've very quickly left on the basis of price. OF you've reminded me is different because as you say as it's membership based but it's not something I've ever actually tried as it's not clear what you'd get for your money.

I totally see the appeal for the models if they can earn good money that way. I guess your second point is an important one, that I guess I can't really judge without trying it. I do like pre and post-scene BTS content where the models are just being themselves chatting rather than 'performing'.

I never subscribed to OF, never will I bet. But market shows many users do. I bet they get their daily fix for free and pay for this kind of exclusive 'relationship'.
There are downsides for the girls offering this kind of services ofc, some difficult to handle for sure, but lots of traveling and hard work is left behind etc. Also easier for real relationships ofc.

I'd be surprised if most 'lesbian' porn isn't bought by men, although this will vary with studio to some extent. For context I am a heterosexual man.
