The Ultimate "LP's pictures suck" thread

I can't take this anymore. I've seen so many threads and posts about this issue and it has still not been addressed. It was the last straw today when I loaded up the Zoe Monroe and Hope Howell scene to see that the pictures are once again only softcore. Why, why?!

Your pictures suck!

The reasons:
(a) A hardcore scene having only softcore pictures: This is ridiculous and a complete waste of a perfectly good scene. Pictures are what people see the majority of the time and brings them to a site. They are shared on forums, websites and pornstar profiles. Also, some of us, like me, buy the scenes for the high resolution pictures alone. (Look at my purchase history, I have never downloaded a video from this site but have over 100 purchases.)

(b) Bad picture quality: This depends on the studio but all of them except for Sineplex SOS do a very rubbish job. Gonzo.com's pictures look like they've been shot on an iPhone 3GS.

(c) No cumshots or creampies in pictures: Again, why? There can't be a decent explanation for this

(d) Not enough "action" photos, or too few positions documented in pictures: One picture of a DP is NOT enough. If you're doing 6 positions in a video, there should be a minimum of 10 pictures of each position. You guys should really have a look at DarkX, EvilAngel, Private, Marc Dorcel etc's pictures. That's what you call a picture set.

(e) In a two girl scene the other girls head takes up 50% of the pictures real estate: If a girl's getting DP'ed please keep the other girls head off her entire body.

(f) Bad angles: The photographer seems to really like to get his head right up the girls asshole and take a picture. He should just start using an internal camera which he inserts into the girls butthole the way he gets so close.

I'm kind of a pictures guy as well. I do think we are in the minority. I also like videos, but good pictures usually are what clinches a purchase. Also, I'm sure that pictures don't include cumshots because the performers are saving themselves for the actual filming. My understanding is that a lot of studios take pictures separate from the video, not during.

To be positive, I like the following with my pictures (as opposed to screeenshots which I also like):

• lots of pictures - as in more than 100, preferably more than 150
• some smiling casual pictures while dressed
• Posed facial expressions during DP/DAP like what Private Magazine used to do (please don't shoot me for liking something the hairy frenchman used to do!)
• pictures oriented the correct direction
• In multi-model shoot soft and hardcore pics showing the models separately as well as in the group

I agree with all your points. Especially "pictures oriented in the right direction" which is a point I missed. Your point about the cumshots and creampies doesn't make sense though as most porn studios around the world have a separate photographer taking pictures alongside the scene/during it. I don't see how this would affect filming, it stops filming for 1-2 seconds, take a picture, and then resume. It does not detract from the performance at all.

Also a pictures-guy here. I'm in agony with the quality of pictures since the start of this site and they even managed to get WORSE!

I'm already given up on this topic, because there's seems to be not even the smallest understanding and interest from the producers for the whole process of making decent picturesets of your scenes.

Resolution and especially ISO setting is ridiculous at best. Have a look at their Christmas Orgy Vid and you get a sense of how "professional" their stills are made. Can't shake my head enough in shame about this "photograph" guy, not even able to pretend knowing what he's doing. Lightning in GONZO pics and scenes is ALWAYS terrible, looks like their lamps have a wrong temperature. They use too cold light (<3000^K), I suppose. Every girl looks incredible pale, lifeless - even tanned stunners look pale in GONZO scenes (e.g Ria Sunn, Carol Smarf!!!!!)

Sineplex the same, but they cope with action-filled scenes and nasty girls. Their girls seem pale anyways....

Good ol' Giorgio's scenes/pics seem to show signs of improvement. His scenes nowadays seem to boast a warmer illumination which makes the girl's loke more alive

Gonna get flamed for this but: Look at 21Sextury - they make the best sets IMO.

Sometimes I get the sense he's the only one that really listens to people's demands, and the other studios merely imitate what he does. So, please Giorgio, even better pics please... haha

I kinda agree with the above, I would have phrased it differently, but IMO is a valid criticism when LP pictures are compared to other studios.

Although the technical shortcomings are not really a huge problem for me. Photo editing magic does wonders. It's very time consuming for me, cuz I'm not particularly skilled and I often have to read tutorials to do stuff. So I would really appreciate if LP does a better job at this.

However even if those technicalities are improved, there is another big problem. Most pictures, in the softcore category are not good. I delete almost all of them.

To put it lightly, a lot of these girls look better and much sexier in selfies, captured from a phone, than your pictures taken presumably with a professional camera and from a third person perspective.

Is just so disappointing when A the girl is not posing in a sexy way or B the camera angle and distance is terrible.



Sineplex takes better pictures in this regard.

Sineplex takes better pictures in this regard.

Sineplex SOS takes quite good pictures, they're just very few in number. From 3-4 DP positions, they'll take one picture. Sometimes none at all. I find this absolutely reprehensible. The photographer should be 10 v 1'd for making such a horrible error in judgement.

There's lots of other things that need improvement but hey as long as everyone keeps buying those tickets?
Stop that for a few months and then ask them how they think about it.

Well, I certainly won't be buying any more tickets or visiting this site anymore if the picture quality and number of pictures are not improved drastically. It's so sad to see such good scenes ruined because some guy who has no clue about photography is shooting the pictures. I have purchased 400 tickets in the past few weeks. This number will be zero unless EVERY scene meets proper picture criteria. The team don't seem to care at all as all the new scenes (Like the Mea scene) have about 10 pictures. The Julie Skyhigh set has more but again, the pictures are 90% occupied by dicks, covering her face most of the time.

Ultimately it comes down to people's priorities. The vast majority of people are more interested in video quality. It's hard to blame them. I find photography arousing personally. When more people want it, it will change. I hope it improves nonetheless.

You'd be surprised how many people prefer pictures. What do people upload on this forum all day and put in their signatures? What gets advertised on porn indexing sites? Video is just a small part of porn, it's the pictures that count and LP's pictures STILL SUCK

i love picture sets, and only really purchase giorgio grandi now as they have near 200, while gonzo only has like 50, would love way more pictures in there sets
