The pornographers make WHAT THEY FIND INTRIGUING. If the content sells well, they continue.
The pornographer creates demand for his product.
The nonsense that "I just am giving the customers what they want", is an attempt by the pornographer to not implicate his own desires to the public.
That’s how it should work, IMO, because you get a better product if the pornographer cares about what he’s doing. In practice, however, I can tell you that there are a lot of people in this industry making content based exclusively on sales metrics without any sort of passion or personal touch. I’m not saying that’s the case here, just in the industry overall, and I know for a fact that it’s the case.
