In regards to the scene:
Yes it is SO GREAT that they actually left that sterile (not literally, that place is as un-sterile as it gets) setting for something else. BUT! Outdoors is one of the WORST places to produce/film PROFESSIONAL porn. Too many variables not under control of director. Wind noise, background noise, lawnmowers, cars/trucks, birds, ect. It's very dirty. Sand, dirt, gass, snow, ect....
Then there's the biggest TWO things.
1) Lighting or lack of, & shadows. Sunlight is one of the worst kind/source of lighting for recording people. It's harsh, throws contrast out of wack, can wash color out, ect. ect. And it MOVES! As do clouds.
It's also hard to film SEX (let alone EXTREME SEX) outdoors (more on this in #2). And to even try & make sunlight work as a light source you must; a.) have a camera of significantly HIGH quality & capabilities (not so sure they do anymore). Also GREAT post-processing software & somebody that actually KNOWS how to use it properly & well. (I KNOW they DON'T have that) b.) Be positioned as to have the sun as backlight & at a 45deg angle to the "set" and whats being filmed. c.) Have a great camera operator. (jury is out on that one).
2) THERE'S NO FURNITURE OUTDOORS! So capturing any "movie magic" & great views/footage is nearly impossible. Not to mention even more uncomfortable than usual. All the sex positions are very BASIC & awkward looking, so the end result is rather amature'ish looking.
I'd imagine that finding a spot to film meeting all the above lighting requirements, has good furniture or "objects" to have sex on that allow good viewing angles & variety of positions. AND is secluded enough to not get in trouble or arrested. And even if public sex is not illegal in that particular state/province/region whatever. You'd need a permit. (more $$$) Also as to not draw a crowd that would interfere with filming... Winning the 100 Million dollar lottery jackpot might be easier than finding "that" spot.
So yeah, sex outdoors is normally a HARD PASS EVERY TIME for me. Even if not "public" outdoor sex, and in a private fenced-in backyard. The furniture is still non-existent or very shitty like A lawn chair, or A crappy sofa.
Even with that, It still is EXTREMELY difficult to film well due to all those things above.
Now a properly well done "fake" outdoor/woodsy set on a sound stage, with all the variables under control and purpose built "natural" objects designed to have sex on, well that another story!
P.S. Yes I can see, and I realize they went indoors for the last 3/4 of the scene. This is in regards to outdoor sex on the whole.
