POLL: How often you stopped PB/LP subscription in the past?

Given last events with sudden, unheralded ticket value devaluation by 35% I feel I have been to loyal for too long probably. And others maybe too? Provider than takes loyalty for granted. Anyway, for the first time in 8 years (!) I consider to stop my subscription.

May I ask other users: How often you stopped PB/LP subscription in the past?
And why did you do it usually?
For how long usually?

I use an account specifically for things like this that I transfer funds to when I need to, so I don't actively cancel my subscription, I just don't let it automatically renew if I have enough tickets remaining. It's easy to then sign up again when I'm out of tickets and there is something I want to buy. I'm usually quite picky with my purchases since I don't have enough time to watch everything I buy anyway, but I do try to buy scenes to support a studio or models I'm particularly fond of.

Money is not a problem for me so I'm willing to buy extra tickets if I have to in order to support what I like, but if prices stay at this level I will definitely not be buying any scenes on impulse like I have done on occasion. As a result I predict my tickets will actually last longer from now on since I will only be buying scenes with models I'm obsessed about now that a single purchase costs the equivalent of a week's supply of tickets.

I’ve been here since 2015. I once paused my subscription for a short while - can’t really remember the reason, backlog of tickets I think.

After we all bitched about the last big price increase over summer 2020, I became much, much, more selective. I realised that I typically watched a scene just once and that I actually didn’t rate most of the scenes that I viewed. I don’t think the quality of the majority of scenes or models has improved from where we were in 2015. Meanwhile, purchasing power of the ticketing packages has been steadily eroded. I started with 10-12 scenes per month, last year it was down to around 5 per month. This year to date I have purchased just 6 scenes.

With my subscription still running, I accumulated almost 400 tickets. So I’ve just stopped my subscription again. Now we see the purchasing power of our unspent tickets slashed at a stroke by a change to the USD/TKT exchange rate. So I can’t really see the point in subscribing and paying money to AV up front.

I fall into the category of people spending my money on ticket packages without a subscription. Generally I don’t like subscription models (not just in porn); even though the ticket packages are more expensive I liked the freedom of choosing and reloading as needed.

From January to March I’ve spent on average 448 tickets per month. For April I’m on target to decrease that by 25%. Would be more, but the first ten days we still had normal prices and I still have tickets to spend that I already paid for.

In the new situation, for me it might actually be better to take a 3 month sub and don’t reload anymore. Since last week I’ve bought about a scene a day, but only cheaper scenes at max 7 tickets per scene. None from NRX, Gio, Gonzo, or AG so far. So it will be interesting for me to see if I can keep that up and decrease my spending to just 10% of my previous spending, or if not how much I will have to reload.

Yep, thats the thing: Its money loyal customers pay up front and AV can use this money to invest in biz but also to buy shares on stock exchange etc.
So far my subscription dropped monthly tickets never were enough for my Pornbox monthly shopping, therefore I didnt care much. But now I am just aware that fucked up loyal customers can't pretend nothing happened and keep same loyalty.

i usually cancel the membership after get the 3 months subscription, basically i want to decide when pay the subscription and not be automatically, then the point is obtain 48TKT extra each month and use the 20% discount to buy TKT packages, it been always my way to economize and handle my purchases, i have calculated how many TKT i usually spend and normally works fine to me.

I stopped when they had that period where they stopped shooting piss scenes. That’s pretty much it, once piss came back, I came back.

Similar for me. The budget allowed by my quarterly subscription is now only approx. 4 scenes a month at the "new normal" prices. So most models and studios will no longer get my support.

As previously when ticket prices were suddenly cranked upwards, the quarterly ticket subscription option has remained at the same number of tickets (which buy less and less).

IMO it would be smart business practice for Pornbox to offer options for larger recurring membership packages containing more tickets (at attractive prices) to encouarage more spending by loyal members. (Of course, there remains the risk of getting burned by future devaluations of stocks of prepaid tickets).

Currently my only (semi) logical option is to spend more than double my quarterly sub to buy a pack of 250 tickets at a higher price per ticket. That isn't a particularly compelling proposition.

Why?
If you have a 3-mt-subscription you still can use the 120-tkt-recharge option, which is a bit cheaper (still) than the buy-250-tkt option without subscription.

You're right, that is a better deal. I never understood if that commits me to continue buying an extra 120 tickets every 3 months going forward?

You dont hav to buy it, but you can as often as you want.
Prior to recent ticket devaluation I sometimes re-charged with 120-tkt-option 4 times per month. Now they might count for more, but it will be less because that step was one drop too much.
