Best value - ticket subs or 'Buy Now'?

Postby davebowman » Sat Apr 16, 2022 6:26 pm

Hi folks - what's the best value - buying ticket subs, or buying scenes direct? I presumed it was ticket subs, but now every time I go to buy a scene (no matter how old it is), the 'buy now' price is significantly cheaper than the ticket value. For a random example, a scene marked as 6.4 ticket - when I click on the question mark next to it, it says it's 'equivalent to £9.60' , but the 'Buy it Now' price is only £7.35.

Once my existing tickets run out, Is there any point in buying ticket subs anymore?

TLDR: I think paying in tickets is still always cheaper than "buy now".

=======================================================================

BUT you take the risk of paying cash up front to buy tickets which can only be spent on this site and potentially could be devalued if management choose to change the exchange rate at which you can exchange the tickets for scenes.

I think that until recently each ticket was worth £1.15 to spend on scenes.
After the recent devaluation, I think each tkt is only worth £0.85.

However, the price to purchase tkts in GBP is currently always lower than £0.85.
The most expensive ticket package is 10 tkt for £7.89 or 79p per tkt.
So you buy tickets at 79p and exchange for scenes at 85p per ticket.

To buy your example scene with a "buy now" price of £7.35 would cost 8.65 tickets at a maximum cost of 79p each which is £6.83

I think the £9.60 "equivalent" shown in the question mark pop-up window is a programming error.
9.60 is actually the US dollar value of 6.40 tickets at the old, pre-devaluation rate of USD 1.50 per ticket.

Hmmm - hopefully, as it's really putting me off spending any tickets at the moment. But things seem to be a bit chaotic at the moment regarding prices. Yesterday when I checked the new Yummy release featuring Polly Petrova, Mina and Natasha Rios it was way over 10 ticket. Within 24 hours the ticket price has now shifted to 8.56 tickets, although this still says it's equivalent to £9.50 and the cheapest option is to Buy Now for £7.28.

It's all very confusing.

I think your cheapest option is to buy for 8.56 tickets at 85p each = £7.28

Because those tickets will have cost you less than 85p each.

The price of that Polly Petrova scene yesterday was 10.81 tickets or "buy now" for USD 12.00.

I didn't note the GBP price yesterday but I guess it would have been £9.19, same as the Nela Decker scene GIO2146 which is still on sale at 10.81 tkts.

So I can only guess that PB have decreased overnight the price of the Yummy Polly Petrova scene from USD 12.00 to USD 9.50.

In the past when a scene has been released at one price and subsequently repriced lower the following day, I think a polite request to Kapwn in support has resulted in a refund of the difference.

I guess these are teething problems. But the whole situation is a royal PITA.
