I found a study that was done in New York, where researchers have found that presence of adult entertainment businesses decreased sex crimes in their neighborhood by 13%.

The headline describing this study is actually biased in a way. Because it says that adult entertainment businesses don't increase sex crimes. Which is a ridiculous and a false thing to say, given what the study has found. Because the headline implies that adult entertainment businesses make no difference for sex crimes, when in fact the study has found a 13% decrease.

But in any case, I think this study is relevant for porn too. Because some people and some politicians claim that porn incites people to commit sex crimes. But given the results of this study and others like it, the truth is probably the opposite of what they say. In other words, porn decreases sex crimes. Which makes it beneficial for society and for women especially, because women are the most common victims of sex crimes.
