Gattaca is a great movie. Not sure I’d call it a love story, but it’s definitely got a romantic subplot. It’s more a movie about self-actualization.

I’m a big fan of sci-fi and a movie buff, so I’ve got a lot of recommendations within that genre. Here are a few more, some well-known and some not-so-much, chosen semi-randomly.
