I was planning to shoot in Florida this month. However, Florida happens to be one of the worst places in the developed world with the virus right now, which restricted what I could have done with my scenes. The locations all set a limit on the number of performers who could be in one room at the same time, and I didn't like that because I would not have been able to do anything more exciting than BG. On top of that, the talent pool is severely limited right now, and many agents (including Spiegler) aren't flying models out at all, so I was limited to working with one Florida-based agency and local amateurs.

Because of that, I cancelled the trip. Better to wait until things clear up a bit more. I have a job and don't need the income, and as much as I wanted to transition back into the porn industry earlier this year, I think I can wait a little bit longer.

I was planning to shoot with Kyler Quinn, Alex Harper, Alicia Williams, Crystal Thayer, and Cassandra Lovelox, plus a couple of amateurs I know personally who were willing to try anal. However, with the BG-only limitation, I was concerned about sales potential, so I decided to wait a little longer.

Some basic items that will be addressed in the next round of shoots:

I want to improve cinematography across the board. I like using natural light as much as possible; lighting rigs are a necessity indoors, but it always looks better to use natural light from the windows to augment that in my opinion, so the use of natural light will continue. However, I will take better care to avoid shooting directly against the window to reduce the effect of light blooming and overpowering the rest of the image. I will also try to get a better fill to avoid areas of shadow within the image, particularly where it may obscure your view of the action.

I will take greater care with the camera work to avoid moving around as much. Again, this is partially a stylistic choice. I like dynamic camera work, and I don't like keeping things stationary for too long, but at the same time I think I moved around too much with these scenes.

I want to also direct with balls-deep anal penetration as a priority and will modify camera angles to show this off.

Bare feet will continue in most scenes, however I will reduce the foot fetish action unless the scene is intended to be sold explicitly as a foot fresh scene. It's not going away. It's just getting reduced. It'll be fine, foot lovers... I'm one of you and I'll make it work for everyone.

One other thing: I recently bought a very nice mirrorless camera with excellent and crisp high-resolution output. I was hoping to improve the stills next time anyway, but with this thing, I hope to elevate them to a higher standard of quality, with true depth of field, tack sharp images, and much greater color depth which will especially improve transitions between different skin tones. I want my stills to look like they were taken in a professional modeling shoot, and I want to capture the sense of kineticism you only see with Rocco Siffredi's work (IMO).

Kreme / Milk / Piss scenes would absolutely skyrocket in sales if it were brought back to LP. I can't shoot piss content in the U.S. for legal reasons (see my explanation of page 1 of this thread), but frankly, I don't find pissing sexy in the first place and never have, so I would never shoot it anyway. I try to stay within the realm of things that I think are sexy because I think that generates a higher quality of output. No hard feelings against the piss lovers, but I don't get this fetish at all and I'm not going to shoot it.

Milk and Kreme scenes went away because they targeted an extremely niche audience and did not consistently make their money back. Also, xxx has gone on record to state his personal dislike for them, and I don't particularly enjoy them either. It's not a boner killer for me, but I don't see that it adds much value. It actually slows down the action and makes it harder to get nice gapes from the girls. I would actually be willing to shoot this type of content if there was enough demand for it, but only in moderation, because I really don't want to have to do the clean-up work from this type of shoot every day.
