I wondered if anyone had info on future 4K/ultraHD shooting at LP? It would be nice to see such videos appearing.

What do you guys/(girls) think?

Yes it's frustrating, even though they got top notch equipment (RED's n stuff) they are not willing to provide full HD content.

Talking about quality, that's how it should be done -> http://perfectgonzo.com/?movies their new videos come @12kbps and look simply stunning, the difference between lp's 720p 4,5kbps and those beauties is tremendous, esp. on a big screen.

They don't even offer 1080p yet. Let's be patient.

the fact that they don't provide full HD yet is really unbelievable for such a big production. Hopefully we will get an answer on that at some point if we keep bringing it up

I think its a waste of bandwidth. Current High Def resolution is fully sufficient.

not using the highest resolution possible, is short sighted.

BECAUSE, TV's and computer monitors keep getting higher and higher resolutions and continue to be bigger and bigger in terms of surface area.
What that means is: when you watch your high def (720p) video in your 60'' TV... it looks old. AND the 480p videos look awful. THERE WAS A TIME when ppl, like you, thought 480p videos were "sufficient". DVD's anyone?

So, when someone new comes in and see's the highest quality LP offers is 720p video, entering an era of 4k TV. He's gonna think, IMMEDIATELY: "low budget site" so there is a demographic that skips this site, JUST because of that.

Finally, customers who want to download the highest possible resolution, will do that, and LP can still offer lower resolutions for those who choose to download them.

It would be awesome if they at least shot in 4k resolution. Even if the files they upload aren't 4k yet, they could update their backlog of scenes in the future. You have to admit...hardcore porn like this at such high resolution would be awesome!

Shooting in 4K is feasible, but the bandwidth costs associated with actually publishing at that resolution make it very unlikely that LP will do it. Considering they don't even offer 1080p, I doubt LP will move to 4K any time in the near future.

Who knows, maybe I will eat my words soon, but it looks incredibly unlikely.

It seems that at the very least, scenes are mastered at 1080p and then downscaled to 720p for publishing, because many of the old trailers are in 1080p.

We've collectively brought this up again and again for the past 4 years, so I think at this point it's safe to say it's not gonna happen.

I understand but what it means now is that they are technically two technological advances behind some competitors, at some point, that will probably have an effect on the bottom (no joke) line

Quite a few sites offer 4k now (Naughty America, Tiny4k, SinDrive etc) and I think this site definitely needs to take the long overdue step to Full HD at least. Having watched the likes of Ivana Sugar, Misha Cross and Amirah Adara performing anal in 4K on other sites, it's frustrating going back to the low res 720p scenes here which look awful on a big screen.

I stand corrected. Virtually none of the big anal studios are shooting in 4K yet, though. Which isn't to say that LP shouldn't seize the opportunity and become the first one to do it, but since they don't even offer 1080p downloads yet, I think it's unlikely.

When it comes down to it, I'd rather LP invest their money in finding better locations and stocking up on scenes with the best girls. 720p is nothing to scoff at, and the scenes are all shot and mastered at 1080p so it is possible that we will see them in that resolution one day.

If those wanting this format are prepared to pay 4x as much for those "high-end" movies - so be it. But I am not really prepared as one (of many?) users that are happy with the current quality to sponsor the addl. capacity and bandwidth required.

While 4k might be a bit of an overkill right now 1080p @ decent bitrates is certainly overdue....without a premium ofc!

Btw: 4k + moving camera if shot @ low fps = more motion blur than 1080p! Unfortunately nobody is producing hfr porn.

Said this before but my giess, wrt legalporno and 720p, is that it is the pronbox system that is limiting the resolution and stopped us getting 1080. When you think, most porn sites need to hold one high resolution copy of the video on their servers, whereas with this system where you have individually digitally watermarked copies both the storage requirements and the encoding requirements are hundreds of times greater.
