How do we know that a Suggestion is chosen?

Does anyone know or can explain how exactly a Suggestion from all those members that keep posting new suggestions for a scene etc, are really getting chosen from the directors of LegalPorno to materialize their suggestiong. Is there any sign of it? Can we know or it's freely up to them and we never gonna know?

This is a public forum that anybody on the Internet can access and read. Which means that the suggestions posted here are a potential resource for all porn-makers, who are looking for new and better ideas.

Porn never stays exactly the same over the years. Not only women and guys change. But what they do and how they do it also changes. And it's not necessarily the existing porn companies who benefit from new ideas and new trends. Often new porn-companies go for new trends and new ideas. While existing companies decline and even go out of business. Because trends change and companies that stay the same get left behind by their customers.

I don't think you can know for sure if someone somewhere on the Internet has read your ideas and suggestions and did something with them. And sometimes suggestions and ideas can languish for years, before someone finally has a bright idea of doing it. If your suggestion hasn't been used until now, then this doesn't necessarily mean that it won't be used by someone in the future.

I guess they could have put it inside Pornbox if they wanted to avoid competitors and the great unwashed seeing all the, er, brilliant unique ideas (not).

But possibly it works for them as a sales promo tool visible to casual visitors, who might like the idea that they can put in requests and maybe influence studios.

Ideas and suggestions from the porn-audience are similar to what happens in brain-storming. Most ideas aren't necessarily good. But a few are bound to be good, when you have many ideas.

And that's what makes it a worthwhile exercise. Because you wouldn't have those good ideas, without brain-storming in the audience.

But if LP care to develop this project, I think they need to build in some feedback to encourage and increase participation.

For now, there doesn't seem to be any indication that your vote is even registered, let alone considered. So who knows?

Having a dialogue with your customers is a great way to learn and understand demand!

It has been claimed that we who contribute are not representative but that is to misunderstand marketing research. Typically you are looking for both quantitative and qualitative input. Quantitative you get from sales but sales numbers do only tell how good the last scene was selling nothing about next scene and you cannot just make a copy. The whole idea with making a new scene is that it is different than all the past ones. Repeating the same trick will give you fading results.

Qualitative input is when customers elaborate around what they found good or bad in past scenes and when they propose new things for coming scenes. It is then for the creators to use that input as inspiration. It is seldom smart to do exactly what is requested, because customers seldom fully understand what they want. There are many new innovations that customers could never have dreamed up. Typically most customers want more of something they have appreciated but seldom propose things they never have seen, except for some creative minds.

The input should be viewed in total not as individual requests. Comments on released scenes combined with specific requests and general sales trends should be mixed and used as a base for creation. I think that is mostly how it is done however:

There is one thing missing and that is LP telling us which feedback they used and not used and why. Our input could improve dramatically if we got a better understanding of what is possible and interesting and what is not. Companies nowadays know that crowdsourcing can give amazing results, especially when we are able to co-create in a forum. To not use this is a missed opportunity.

Dialogue is necessary in a creative process and involving your customers is most of the time beneficial.
