I was thinking that if there are many older scenes 2015-2018 that in principle has no sales any longer, wouldn't it make sense to sell them at a rebate?

Maybe they could be classified as classic and be bundled with new scenes so that if you buy one new scene you get to choose one of the classics for 1 ticket?

It’s an interesting idea but quite a few older scenes are already 1tk. If they’re priced higher they probably still sell enough that selling them for less doesn’t make for good business.

Writing a conditional pricing system is probably more work than it’s worth.

I suppose they could offer a free ticket with the purchase of a new scene, but then you’re asking them to give things away for free.

You have to buy a new scene to be allowed to buy an older scene at a rebated price. It will drive new sales because you get the opportunity to buy an old scene at a fair price. It will also add to sales when older scenes are selling again.

It is fairly meaningless to have old scenes sitting without selling but giving them away might hurt sales of new scenes. What I am proposing is something that should be beneficial for selling both new and old scenes.

I don't know if 1 ticket is the right price. Maybe 1 ticket rebate on 2018 and 2 ticket rebate on older scenes?

If it is not FullHD I think they have to be for free, or maybe sell all non FullHD for 20 tickets?

If LP gets more revenue for scenes that are already filmed and paid for, that is good for all of us. If we get old scenes at a rebate we benefit too. I think this could be win-win.

I understand what you're saying, but older scenes that don't sell are likely free or 1tk already so I don't expect it to cause a booming business. And that's what you would need for your system to work, because it means devoting resources to coding a conditional pricing system and that's usually a real pain in the ass.

Well 2016 scenes are about 5 tickets still!

As I said, it doesn't have to be 1ticket price it could be 1 ticket rebate for old scenes and 2 tickets for even older.

Bear in mind that free tickets were phased out for new member a good while ago now.

I'd love scenes of the age being discussed to be cheaper as there is loads of great older content, but I can see why this isn't done for commercial reasons.

Yeah! I was trying to help with designing a rebate system which would increase total sales, to the benefit of LP and customers.

I am not arguing for lowering my cost. I would gladly spend more if I got more, but I think old scenes are too highly priced, or I would have bought them already.

The only problem with lowering the price of old scenes to get volume is that it might take from sales of new scenes. That is why I proposed that you would have to buy a new scene to get for example 50% rebate on an old scene. I would buy the same number of new scenes as today and then in addition I'd buy the same number of old scenes and sales could go up with 50% at no extra cost for LP.

This system doesn't require a new type of tickets, just that you get a counter for how many 2020 scenes you have bought and that would allow you to buy the same number of 2016 and older scenes at a rebate.

Do you think this could work for both us and LP?

I think we should leave to LP to estimate the programming effort.

A bundle (5-30) deal (10-30% off) in addition to/lieu of, subscription discounts, flat monthly and model pack offers etc.... would also be a tempting.
Non-subscritions could go back through a couple years (including the current one) of non-discounted prices, pick and choose one or two from each month let's say.
One might just be inclined to invest more based on personal financial budget.
A month's membership investment could be used more economical then, instead of paying more for fewer tokens., which is the dilemma for people in lower income brackets.

That is impossible. If people were buying older scenes en masse then there would be no incentive to shoot new scenes. There are more content on this site than you could watch in your life time. With 10 000h of scenes you have 5000 days or 15 years watching 2hours a day. If new customers started by first buying old scenes for 15 years, then there is no need for new scenes. I am quite certain that we already have bought as much of old scenes as we want at current prices. If LP want to move inventory, a rebate system is necessary and why not? There is no additional cost to sell an old scene. My proposal in addition protects sales of new scenes.
