Good to see this debate is still ongoing as it's an important one. I quit LP recently because of the excessive male aggression in the scenes but have been lured back and bought a bunch of recent scenes, where it is happily much less apparent. I even bought the Mary Solaris Giorgio's Lab scene that I'd been convincing myself I wouldn't and as per the trailer it is very rough but appears wholly consensual so I can live with it to a point (and the sex action is very good). I hope this acts as confirmation that I am not against rough porn per se but simply against that which is rough for the sake of it and to the detriment of the scene.

To this end, the recent Gonzo Sarah Cute (SZ2267) is a great case in point. A spectacular scene but very much damaged for me (the first half or so at least) right from the off when no sooner has the sex action begun than bystander Angelo Godshack feels the need to grab Sarah's throat. Sarah is wanking 2 dicks at this point (Godshack's is one) but feels the need to break away from that and push Godshack's hand away from her throat. To some this might be a minor thing but I find it infuriating that at the very point of the acceleration of raw lust (ie first insertion) this moron Godshack felt the need to introduce some antagonism into the scene. Maybe I'm a sensitive soul but that physical expression of "no" - quite legitimately - from Sarah just pricks the bubble of the raw lust for me. I never want to see "no" brought into a porn scene I am viewing. I only want to see "yes yes yes". I want raw, unbridled lust and am not going to apologise for criticising anyone (actor, director, whatever) who gets in the way of that, as Godshack did here.

What I really can't get and is essentially the reason for this post is how someone like Godshack can be faced with a beautiful young woman like Sarah at the outset of a porn scene and his very first choice of action, ie the thing he most wants to do right there and then is to get his hands on her throat. I just find that inexplicable and it reinforces my long held view that he is a complete thug/bully who is in porn more for domination than sexual pleasure. So I have the dilemma of considering whether I want to buy scenes with him in. Same as it ever was, to quote David Byrne.

Again....if anyone at LP is listening please make a distinction between those scenes that are going to be rough and those which are not (and yes, throat-grabbing is "rough"). It's really not rocket science. No-one won with that moment in that scene. The throat-grabbers lost and so did the non throat-grabbers. I'm not some awful prude and I'm not trying to stop anyone from indulging their fantasies. Just please quit with the default rough stuff where it's against the grain of the girl's style and the agreed tone. So far since returning I've only bought 2 IV scenes. The 1st is an old Stiffany Love one, which does have the camerawork issues (too much close-up and that awful zoom between close-ups of penetration and girl's face), although I checked the release date and saw that it was right in the midst of the other scenes with the same problems (ie before we raised the issue with Joachim). The 2nd is a more recent Megan Venturi scene, which thankfully has none of those issues.

Camerawork got really much better imho, but there is still a bit an issue of too long ass zooms and sure that of too little insertion shots and position changes shot, too much edited.
Here it seems however, Joachim just has a different esthetic vision. I'll stell try to discuss that with him and maybe convince him to leave at least some "dead moment" shots inside.

We're getting a little into the realm of morals here but I'm more interested in how LP fans view these things. With the Chris/Kristy thing how does it make you react as a viewer?
