Tough choice, since I could only pick one. But eventually picked the money option. My guess is, especially with a lot of the Russian/Ukrainian girls, that they don't always have a lot of chances at home, so going into porn is a fast way to make money. Porn is a kind of sex-work. Women's motivation in it is probably similar to that of strippers and other sex-workers.

I've met some sex-workers in Thailand and got to know some of them. I got to know them well enough to talk with them about why they do it and see for myself what their lives were like, away from their sex-work.

These women had opportunities to do other work. But it was a choice between doing back-breaking work on the farm for just enough money to live on. Or they could save up money from much higher paying sex-work and open some kind of business, or at least build a decent house for themselves and buy some land to farm on their own, instead of working for others.

It wasn't like they didn't have any choice. They had a choice, and they made it based on their own self interest. And these women resented it, when some foreign non-governmental organizations tried to get them out of their sex-work. They could get out alright. But then they would've ended up working at some factory, or doing cleaning, or going back to farm work for just enough money to live on, and not much opportunity to better their lives.

It's not the need for money that drives them. It's their ambition to better their lives and often help some of their relatives too.

My point is that this is a superficial difference, and their motivation is probably similar.

There are young women stuck in dead-end jobs all over the world. In theory, they can go to College or University to improve their prospects. But in practice, there is often an over-supply of educated workers. Many people waste their time and money getting education, and then they go back to dead-end jobs anyway, with big student debts this time.

Perhaps some countries are better than others in this regard. And this is why you don't get many Scandinavian women doing LegalPorno work. But there are lots of women from Hungary, Romania, Russia, and other East European countries.

I agree that liking your job and enjoying it is some of the reason why people do it.

It can be rewarding for women to think that they are satisfying a need for guys and making guys feel good. And if their guys are good in bed, then these women can enjoy it sexually too.

But at the end of the day, people won't do their work for free, even when they enjoy doing it. Because they have bills to pay and lives to live. They aren't so rich that they can work for free and treat it as a kind of hobby or just fun.

Getting paid is an essential part of doing the work, even if you enjoy doing it.
