No HD version of latest scenes?

I've just bought the new Mallory Maneater scene and see that there is no option to download a HD version of the scene. I'm old school so still like to burn my scenes to DVDs. The HD version is fine for me quality wise and I can generally get 3 such scenes on 1 disc. Without it I suspect the only thing I could do here is download the 1080P version at 4.34 GB (!) which I could then put on a disc on its own. But I wouldn't want to start doing that generally as it will mean too many discs.

I appreciate I might be part of a rare breed but I hope LP will continue to offer HD scenes. Without them I suspect I will have to either leave LP or think about some kind of upgrade, although I'm not sure what that would be. I don't want to spend a ton of money on new TV/DVD equipment, for instance. Not just the outlay (which I can't really afford) but the fuss. I just want to crack on as I was before really - hopefully LP will accept that not everyone wants to leap to the next big thing all the time.

Is standard HD with file sizes of about 1.3-2.5 GB (depending on length of scene) still going to be on offer moving forward? Am I just missing something in my Pornbox? (I'm just clicking on the download symbol and getting 4 options ranging from 4.3 to 14.9 GB).

Actually looking at it again I think it might just be a mistake as 1080P and 4K are both listed twice and with different file sizes. They're all really big though so it isn't just a case of mislabelling (ie at this stage I can't download a standard HD file that has just been mislabelled). It looks like there might just have been an error when LP have tried to create the 4 versions - hopefully they can fix it.

No, you have right, you arent missing anything. I only can see to 1080p and 4K version.

Really you are and old school porn lover. I recomend you to improve your equipment (new TV and PC for e.g). 1080p and 4K version are TOP, you can admire all details (i love see girls asses and ass holes with the top quality as possible (anal action too) ) better than HD versions (old times) with a lot of pixels.

I dont know if is a mistake or not but doesnt must be a problem to LP to upload HD versions for cases like yours

Is not an error, check my pic in my last post. GG does thier piss scenes in 2 versions, DRY (scene with cuts of piss parts) and WET (whole scene including piss stuff, the real whole scene). More people not appreciate this, He does piss scenes but he does 2 versions, DRY and WET because he knows a lot of people doesnt like piss scenes. Is a point to think why people doesnt want and "hate" piss request when Giorgio makes additional work for us (including piss lovers and haters of piss)

Ah I forgot that there was dry version and wet version. Mine are not labelled as such though. I'm in the UK so I thought that we didn't get the wet version. Tbh I wouldn't be bothered with the wet version.

I also just checked an older scene from the Fucking Wet series (Betty Foxxx). With that one I have the standard 4 size versions so downloaded the HD, which is the dry version. So I'm not sure if that is the issue here (although it might be).

I mean, I might consider some kind of upgrade at some point but I don't want it to be forced. I'm happy with my current method for now and hope LP will not leave me behind. A similar thing happened with Private where their HD scenes just suddenly shot up in size. I was leaving anyway as I wasn't much taken with their new content but I don't want the same thing to happen with LP when I still like the content.

I get what you're saying but to be honest I'm not sure it would make a blind bit of difference to me. Personally I didn't have any problem with the old VGA-type scenes (were these 720 bit rate or something?) and these were a bit more convenient because I could download and burn them to DVD a lot quicker (even then I only put around 4 scenes on a DVD as that's my preference). Then HD started to become de rigeur and as they weren't that much bigger size-wise it made sense and I guess the quality is a bit better.

I can honestly say that I've never, ever watched a HD scene (or probably even a 720 one) though and thought to myself "Damn I wish the picture quality was better on this". It's like....spot on. Any upgrade is almost certainly wasted on me so if it brings with it added cost and hassle then it's just gonna irritate me.

I definitely do get the problem with quality on 480 (I think it was) bit rate though. On Private some of their older scenes only go up to this resolution and they're pretty much unwatchable. So it's not like I can watch any old quality but, you know, my low ceiling is very unlikely to ever be set above HD level.

It might be that at some point I'll watch beyond HD and be converted but I just find it hard to believe. I also think it's unlikely I would ever go from DVD to memory stick or some other form of viewing (hooking up my PC to my TV or whatever). Call me old school, I just like it the current way. I also like my new porn scenes to rub shoulders with my old DVDs, even though I don't watch the old ones very often anymore. I'm just very much a "physical media" kind of guy, for better or for worse.

It is your decision (the vulture and sweep11) but i still thinking that porn in best quality is more fun and i enjoy watching all details during the scene.

Hooray! I've spotted a fix. If you select the scene from the site itself instead of from your Pornbox and then click "Watch full video in my Pornbox" it takes you into your Pornbox and the scene has all of the different options listed below (including VGA still if you want it).

That's basically the way it used to look in Pornbox before LP grouped the scenes in pairs, from memory.

Worth noting just in case anyone else comes across the same problem.

Another thing to keep in mind too, you are paying too much if all you care about is the HD (720p) scenes. The reason scenes get more and more expensive is to offer them in higher quality formats like 1080P and 4k. When scenes were only offered in 720p 2 years ago they were roughly half the price they are now.

Maybe I should be arguing for a discounted ticket price to download only 720p quality then?
The difference I perceive between 1080 and 720 is not worth anything to me.
I don't have 4k equipment (or eyes..) so that additional investment should be borne by those that demand it too?

Seriously though, that ain't gonna happen. Besides, I'm very happy in general with the CONTENT quality. If I could get the same quality cheaper elsewhere, I would. But it doesn't exist in my view so its all moot.
