We (TWM) dont have anything to say on this matter yet except the fact that there is not reason to panic or to talk about epidemic (at least yet). There are not enough data for take any decision, all the rest is hysteria and speculation.
As for the 2015 warning: as a matter of fact it has been cleared that no one has been found positive to syphilis on October 2015.
I can add that "as expressed by Interlab", the person tested positive on last friday has been infected between the end of July and the Beginning of August

About the "preventive" injection of penicillin that suppose to be shot to everyone in Budapest (also to people that are actually negative), Im confident this would be a solution but that goes over any medic ethics. Yesterday they injected a girl without to even test her before just because she has a rush on her neck. Public health should be more important then money and the "preventive" injection should be the "the last remedy" and not a common practice.

In Prague we did not have any positive or "suspicious positive" (at least for now) and 5 years ago the the number of positive in Czech republic was counted on one hand alone while in Budapest was a total disaster. It has already been established how the medical test of Interlab shows "as negative" most of performer tested positive in Prague for "chlamydia and gonorrhea" and at this point Im really doubtful in general about the value their medical test. Im confident the medical test of Prevedig/Medicentrum (the 2 clinic used in Prague from adult performers) are more efficient.

We should wait before to take any decision or write any comment of twit about this matter, this is not adequate. Panic would not help in this situation. We need cohesion and sharing of information, true information between people involved in the industry without to make drama and speculation and specially helping each other.

Any performer should know the risk of STD when he/she has sex without protection and as a bricklayer knows that he can hammer his finger an adult performer should know that he can be exposed to sexual illnesses. This is part of the game who accept it knows that panic doesnt help

Im absolutely not against to have a quarantine, but a real one: 3 months without shooting for every one in direct contact with who has a positive test, as in CZ 3 years ago. Then who turns positive gets a therapy and nothing for the others.
If the solution is inject anyone just for keep shooting asap, then is not a quarantine but a degrading call for money.

Said that, we are taking few days off for see how the situation will evolve and we are going to agree and support the preventive injection, but this doesnt mean we are happy to support this strategy as it goes against the common interest (find the patient 0 for example, avoid to give medicament to people that do not need it, etc.)

In Budapest they are doing a big mess and something like Francys did is unacceptable, this not the "protocol" and there is not any outbreak.

The facts: 2 person has been tested positive. One is David Perry (active male performer), the second one is a girl performing only in "solo and lesbo". Her boyfriend (well known male performer refused to be tested in Interlab and decided to be tested in another laboratory (where no one has access to his results), and he will know his situation after one week. Between the 2 people that are actually positive there is not any link except the boyfriend (even if it doesnt really make sense), someone more should (I explain why I write "should" later) be positive.
The fact is that the "protocol" should be: get tested, wait for the results, share the results with everyone (specially if you are positive) and after take the preventive injection or therapy. It suppose to be like this because is very important to know who is actually positive. Actually is not clear if you gets injected is getting also tested before.
The reasons why (to know who is actually positive) are several, the more important is know who has been in direct contact with the positive people. This is needed for Czech performer because the Czech National Laboratory DOEASNT AGREE to inject everyone in the industry, but agrees to inject ONLY who has been in direct contact with who is infected.
And this makes more sense then inject everyone in the industry.
To test everyone BEFORE any preventive injection will also give a clear picture of what is going on, now is not clear.

I make a simple example (Im not speculating, I just tell you how this situation could be speculated): image that we test everyone in Hungary and no one else is actually positive... could this be possible?
Yes it could. Both the performer that are actually tested positive, has been tested positive also 5 years ago. What if the therapy they did 5 years ago was not enough efficient and now they have a relapse (its rare, but its possible). What for the people that got injected 5 years ago and now are out of the industry and not doing test every month?
Im not telling this is the true, I tell this is possible and the clinic working in adult industry should investigate WHY only the 2 subjects are positive instead then inject everyone.

So, technically the situation is not clear at all and to write or twit about this is just a way to make yourself popular using a very delicate situation as a pretext doesnt deserves even to be commented.

The media could be used for make public the name of the boy that refuse to make a medical test in Interlab and for force him to be tested as soon as possible and share his results. His conduct is gruesome and should be kicked out from the biz because he is dangerous for everyone.
Also the media could be used for let the people know and understand how Interlab (not forcing everyone to be tested before to inject them) is acting against the interest of the industry and specially against the interest of every performer involved in pornography. The same is valid for every performer that doesnt pretend to be tested before to be injected, and doenst share his results with all the people involved in the industry.

On the other side, in Czech, basically all performer has been tested and no one has suspicious results.

Personally Im pissed, we are pissed here at TWM and several other producers/actor share our anger and concern about how the situation is actually handled from Interlab and from the performers in Hungary.
Im pissed how on [spam] some performers, that are not well aware of the situation, are posting unnecessary comments to everyone decided (correctly) to finish his own shooting/production before to take a look at how the situation is evolving.
Sadly is not possible to understand what is really going on because is not clear if everyone at Interlab gets tested before to get injected. What is sure is that Interlab gets, for what I know, 80euro (count some hundreds of performers) for each injection and is really hard to say or state that this is really necessary. On the other hand it doesnt assure to the industry the possibility to list who is sick and let others to act in different way violating an ethical principle in porno: give the opportunity to everyone to know the health state of the other performers.

A small note about mikesouth: he is a former (unknown) member of the industry and his blog if for sure full of "gossip", but most of what he writes doesnt match the true. Sadly we have again someone that ADS himself speculating on the health of the performers without to even know the facts.

Im disgusted by the people involved in the industry already years, that "new generation" doesnt have style or any ethics and support people/facts just for make ADS of themselves or for make money.

Very probably David was a simple "fake positive", the facts support this.
No one else was tested positive or got strange results. So, or David got syphilis "outside" of porn and we were lucky he did not infect anyone else, or he was not positive at all.
I bet he was not positive at all as another model was tested positive at Interlab, but than she turned out negative at 2 different labs.
On the top of this, the situation was handled in the name of money and not in the name of public health.

The positive result of David arrived on Friday afternoon, from Interlab. From the same day to monday, in the private studio of the doctor in charge of STD, they start to inject everyone with what they call "preventive therapy" without to even test them before and without to follow any logic rule (for example to give the preventive injection only to who was in direct contact with David). Cost of injection 100 euro or so (if the sample had been confirmed by the state laboratory, the injection would have been free: remember this).
The idea was to inject everyone and then after from the result of the following examination to understand who was infected: the result is that no one was infected, over 100 performed injected in the following days/wee and a total psychosis on social network.

There are many reason why a sample can be positive to syphilis: drugs, alcohol, steroid and other stuff (same for HIV), this is why any sample with "positive" or "inconclusive" results should be analysed again from a state laboratory and eventually is necessary to check a new sample.
