prefer studio where you have set, lighting, equipment, etc, ie more photographic control for a better production. Different indoor locations like a warehouse, or garage would be fine, but boat and sand would not top my list. Generally I am NOT looking at the backgrounds so, putting in a waffling boat or blowing sand getting in tender places and lenses is only a distraction.

Don't want to spoil the party, but I agree with otto1219 and luithoran. Lighting is always a problem outside, and a shaking boat... oh well.

There's nothing wrong with experimenting and I think it could be cool. Natural light overexposure can be tricky (maybe shoot on a grey day pouring with rain ) but it's a great idea.

Boat: Why not? If you take care of good exposure and avoid hard shadows especially on the penetration, why not. I like summer scenes on the boat. Would look cool on the Prague river with Castle in the background

Beach: For me, I'm not interested. Sand gets everywhere and that sucks for the scene.
Sports arena, tenis courts or a gym would be better.

I support this idea. It would be great, IMHO, to see a scene filmed for exemple in a stadium, especially if in the beggining the actors would wear sport suits, like athletics costumes or football shirts.

The boat idea is excellent.
It's probably hard to shoot some stuff outdoors, but it would be cool for indoor locations to change a bit. I get the white couch thing and white background but cool to change things up a bit like decor. Some scenes have been shot in stripclubs etc, that to me spice up the scenes.
