I really hope Sharlotte is thriving, and not just surviving.
I'm glad too that (at still so young) she had the self-awareness and support network around her to be able to step back when she felt things were getting too much. It must have been a tough decision, when the she had arrived with such optimism.
There were hints in her interview that the she (perhaps) felt that the remuneration she received for her work with AV was not all she had hoped it would be, and that may well have been the major driver behind her decision to go OF only for a while.
Hopefully she will bounce back very soon with some fabulous new idea (a service, a cafe or club, maybe a social media influencer thing?).
She's clearly smart, extremely self-motivated and hard-working (though perhaps she has reevaluated her pacing if she felt she burned out before she imagined she would). So deciding in which direction to direct all those talents may be the only thing holding her back.
But if she felt she had over-extended herself during her adult work period, then rest and recuperation are the most important thing. Sanity and good health are the most precious things any of us will ever possess, so she is extremely wise to choose to safeguard and consolidate those before moving on after any setback, professional or personal.
Re adult work, I have a feeling she may have moved on, and good luck to her if that is her decision.
Though I do remember that in her interview she spoke of having lots of ideas she had for scenes, and even an idea that she might like to direct something herself (something she was already doing with her OF).
So maybe she will return to the industry one day as a director or stylist or something in production?
The scene she shot with Lady Dee's Czech studio (Anal Maniacs) was a fine scene I thought, and they seemed to work really well together. So that may be a route back into a behind the scenes creative role if she is ever interested in working in the filed again.
She is clearly a woman with a strong creative impulse, a constant flow of original ideas, and a burning desire to create (I think she said she a dancer before she decided to try adult work, which may have ticked many of those same boxes for her).
Anyway, I really hope she is OK. Far better than just 'OK' in fact, I hope she is feeling strong and fully recovered.
Courage the divine Sharlotte Thorne! Onward and upward always...
