recommendations for latin-american xxx studios/resources?

the situation at present, from my particular perspective (studios and models i folow here), is that things seems to be slowing down, changing direction (sometimes for the worse imo), or stopping altogether on the latin-american front in many areas. i don't think it's fatal, indeed i expect it to reverse at some point. but the present situation may endure and even get worse before it gets better

NTP & Lancelot releases seems to be getting sporadic (eg. two scenes in a week from Vale Cortez at the start of the year and nothings since, Abby Evans two scenes a month apart), and once frequent performers (Lenis Diamond, Katia Sweet, add your own) no longer appear. the content is always superb, but delivery is sometimes scant and totally unpredictable

Yummy seems to have gone off-piste over the last year (as regards my preferences anyway), moving from its former focus on shooting good hard DP etc sex to being a fetish site that serves sex on the side (they have taken over the 'piss with everything' mantle from Giorgio)

and Latin Teens Productions, a site i was a huge fan of while it was going, seems to have imploded and disappeared altogether. a terrible loss to fans of latinas, but until we hear otherwise (beyond re-releases, recuts, and backstage edits) it seems to have gone

thanks for the info re the accidental scene, Oscar. and the confirmation that you won't be abandoning your core Mambo mission in pursuit of a 'brown el dorado'. obviously you are in a competative market place and diversifying your product to always be offering something your competitors are not is necessary to your survival as a company. but there's crazy and then there's CRAZY! if you know what i mean

re the scene reviewers, i remember you mentioning your frustration with their timescales before (your christmas scene nearly became a new year's scene as a consequence). that might explain why other studios i mention in the OP (Natasha's studio) are also seeing big gaps between releases, then two or three scenes released in quick succession. 'bottlenecking' is the word for that

as for what you can do about it, probably not much. which must be extremely frustratiting for you, especially when you have prepared something special (and expensive to produce) for release to meet a specific occasion (the next one Valentine's Day perhaps) and the clock is counting down and you are getting no feedback from Prague (have they always been slow, or have they only slowed down in recent months?)

i know nothing of the techincalities behind what you have to do to meet their requirements, but might it be worth contacting the other latin-american studios to organise an on-line conference between you to see if there is anything you can do collectively that might speed up the process? if it's a problem you are all constantly fighting with, then working together collectively to find a solution may be worth a try

one option might be to hire a secretary-coordinator type person for a day or two a week, whose sole job is to gather all the legal bits and pieces together for the three big latin-american studios (Mambo, Natasha & Lancelot, and Yummy) and to hassle the reviewers at Pornbox from 9am-5pm saying 'what do you need to get this done?' and sending any missing info immediately. hopefully speeding up the form processing and leaving the directors to focus 100% on the important work of making great porn, rather than chasing up paperwork

i hope you can work something out Oscar... and don't let the suits and the bureaucrats get you down!

latin-girls-yes I'd say you summed up the current state of affairs in South America. Yummy is popular and I do like the direction they are going. NTP and Lancelot is sporadic but still cast some seriously hot young girls especially in the petite/skinny category. LTP is done

One of the biggest issues and gripes I have with the South American studios is that they end up finding someone who is a genuine 11/10 - shoot a couple of scenes with them - and then you never see them again.

I understand that not every girl is worthy of becoming a mainstay in a particular studio - and that you can't just keep them all - but how the Hayek sisters were ever let get away - I'll never know. That kind of marked the beginning of the descent as far as I could tell. Natasha Teen never really recovered from that point going forward. Everything became sporadic and "happened when it happened" whenever that would be, which wasn't often.

Everything about the South American studios is ... well ... so South American. What I mean by this is the spirit of it. Nothing's permanent. Everything always seems to be up in the air. I know that isn't just relegated to South American studios, and there's a lot of different factors that come into play, but the past autumn was a missed opportunity.

When it finally looked like the South American studios would become the defacto leaders of the world in porn, more than half of them stopped producing scenes, another studio went nose high in piss, and the whole thing transformed from, "I can't believe this level of quality porn is being shot," to, "C'mon guys ... what are you doing?" in the period of like two months.

Everything since then seems to have been somewhat of a struggle. Is it far more alive than it was? Yes. But it still seems to be grasping for air.

As other interesting options here have steadily diminished, Latin Americans have become more and more my favorites. They definitely have the most beautiful, hottest and youngest girls.

My number one favourite now is Yummy. Especially since they also produce pregnant videos, which are among my biggest favorites. Basically (in terms of that genre) the only studio here unless I haven't been blind. Also, in most videos there are DAP which is another favorite genre of mine. The level of the videos varies quite a bit, but I can handle it.

Mambo is also the studio that interests me most often. The girls look especially gorgeous and new girls are found nicely. However, a negative feature of Mambo's videos is shooting. The studio has a really annoying way of shooting from a distance. I've been wondering all along about this weird shooting mannerism! The camera operator also zooms in, but only for a short time, and then returns to shoot from a distance. Btw, NTP and LTP were always closer than they made it appear. Dave Ram originally shot for NTP as far as I know, later they 'split' and for some very good time we had a doubled porn production in Medellin with no girls working for both studios.
