Could be due to planning. GIO probabely had a full shooting schedule already. Generally a successful Brasil or Colombian import counts from 10k$ flat earnings. If AGO plus small studio bookings can guarantee that it's worth it. GIO can book Vivian Lola later this year for another EU porn work tour based at same 10k$ thereshold.

As I already mentioned with Gonzo not shooting new scenes and Prague going fees getting really high in last few years an AGO/GIO coop could be an alternative to counter the pretty high scene investments, but it would lead to a different going fee standards and probabely unwanted studio apt discussions.
