Scene Intros

First I want to make it perfectly clear that I'm NOT, NOT, NOT bitching or complaining Giorgio.

I don't know how others feel about it but I was wondering about your (sometimes VERY long) scene intro's.

While I do enjoy some or them, I usually just skip right to "the good part" and start from there.

Plus now that I download them in 4k the files can get really out of control.

Once again, not bitching, just curious.

The thing I don't like about GG intros is when he quizzes the ladies during the intro, doing that pulls the girls out of their SEXY mode and enter into an alert mode, ready to answer questions and stop acting in a seducing manner while doing so.

So I would prefer if all the interviewing parts are separated entirely from the filming a porno mentality. So girls don't have to be worried about answering questions and can devote all of their mental capacity to acting in a sexy way.

I personally love the interviews as it humanises it for me and makes it more natural but I kind of agree that it can seem a little out of place pre the action.

I'd like to see a pre scene interview segment which is filmed prior to the scene, for example during make up or when the performers arrive at the studio. Something informal and relaxed is the key I think as no one wants to see a performing chimp do something they don't want to do.

I am thinking a shortened 'inside Arwen' type thing. X

TL/DR version: With digital technology & distribution channels, I'm less concerned about "extra" footage being included, and I'm generally in favor of interviews before or after — or anything else that is creative and that provides a more intimate view, sexual or otherwise, of these spectacularly beautiful & wonderfully voracious porn performers.

This past weekend I spent many hours converting my collection of old "legacy porn," going back to the 1990s on VHS videocassettes, into mp4 files so that I won't lose them as that technology finally disappears. I was very painfully reminded of the old days, and just how damned long it took to get from one end of even a two-hour tape reel to the other!

I was also reminded that the average sex scene in those old porn movies, whether American or European, was typically 10-15 minutes tops. I laughed to see that some of my "old favorites" on VHS that I remember so clearly years later actually only contained maybe 3-5 minutes of actual anal penetration. That seemed good at the time, but now it seems pretty marginal. In hindsight, compared to today's gonzo-influenced or -based porn, this stuff looks too scripted, too polished, too highly-edited, and as a result, too unnatural and artificial. It had to be, to fit everything into the limited footage of the finished product.

By historical standards and compared to even a few years ago, bandwidth and storage space are dirt cheap and rapidly getting cheaper. My own internet service barely qualifies as broadband, and I can't reliably stream at 1080p, much less 4k, so almost everything I watch is stuff I've bought based on the previews and then downloaded. Yes, if the director has included stuff that some particular fans don't watch, that adds to the length of the download.

But sometimes I enjoy the pre-fucking interviews — and I usually enjoy the "after" interviews even more, especially if the girl is talking about what she most enjoyed or found most surprising or intense. Sometimes I enjoy the solo or GG warm-ups with fingers & toys before the dicks come out; and I almost always want to see the part where the clothes come off. If there are fetishes included that aren't my cup-of-tea, that's the beauty of digital media: One mouse-click and I'm watching at 5:41 or 41:02 or just the pop shot, jumping just about as fast as I can blink.

So from the point of view of porn creators, this technology advance allows them to be more generous in trying out different things and in trying to scratch a whole lot of different itches in a single video. They're taking advantage of the extra time and footage (at tiny additional marginal cost) to bring more content to more people, even if not everyone wants everything they're providing.

Do I want to see a 10-minute "here's my life story to now" interview before each and every video? No. That's the opposite of creative.

But compared to those old days of limited tape length and difficult distribution channels, I'm less inclined to fuss now over stuff that's included that I don't end up watching, so long as there's plenty that I do like and will indeed watch. And Hallelujah! There seems to be no shortage of people willing and even eager to sell me porn over the internet that I do indeed like!

Count your blessings, consumers. And content-makers, please continue being creative, innovating, interviewing, and inspiring your performers to bring us ever more intimate and fascinating windows into the lives, especially sex lives, of these gorgeous girls!
