Yeah agree, those two are technically pretty fucked up. Mild to medium overexposure (in camera or in post) and bad lighting setup.
I wouldn't mind spatial overexposure of some furniture out of focus in the background but clearly they had moments where the actors are
almost burnt out.
What I meant in my first post was, that light neutral colored mostly whiteish room makes lighting a lot easier, you need much lower powered and less lights,
and you still get nice even soft lighting with even soft shadows. Even white sofa basicly acts like a fill light.
In contrast there are those unfamous italian movies' scenes always shot almost in the dark with just a table lamp - which I would hate if LP will do!
