That is true, but a lot of these girls do not come from a culture where these types of discussions are considered ‘normal’. Plus,forum posts or social media comments, even if they are meant to be flattering, can be VERY easily interpreted a different way (same as emails for example).

I didn't know this happened. I don't want to guess, but GIO was mentioning how is no longer necessary to pay actresses, that in theory they should work for free because working in an established studio means their careers elsewhere can only grow, making them lots of cash on those platforms. That it is a good business idea for them to work for free.

Now, I believe GIO is not trying to trick anyone, I believe he means it, and that he believes it himself. What I imagine happened is that maybe he suggested that and because of the language barrier, it wasn't properly understood. So if you mention those things the wrong way to women that just want to make money, and that cannot see pass the present time, this is indeed something they can take very offensively.
