Should we make the forum members-only?

Making it members only will not solve all problems here, like users adding new, pointless topics or the spamming by this guy above. Moderation is needed; at least two people making the rounds.

It would be better if we all acted more like grown-ups and treated each other and the models with respect.

But in reality the forum contains a mix of porn consumers including the more thoughtful ones like DAP-A and some others, but also at the other end of the scale including some immature and inadequate anons who may have mental health issues, zero social skills, or perhaps just want to troll the models.

That's sad and the models are entitled to feel disappointed and angry.

But, as the cliche goes, the customer is not always right, but he is always the customer.

Those sad and sometimes dusturbed forum posters are also customers and possibly the ones most likely to (over)spend on their obsessions here and at 0nlyfans etc.

So I guess that models and producers who read the forum and sometimes even post here should try to keep cool and professional and maybe even gently try to educate us a little. And just rise above the chaos, noise and idiocy.

And we can all use the "ignore list" function to tune out the most annoying posters.

I'm glad to read there are other people here that notice these things. The best thing to do is try to ignore these people.

There are also other daily valuable posters.
But important would indeed be sb at AV to take care to get at least some moderation here because indeed forum turns more and more into a mess with some recurring trolls posting the same message over and over in dozens of threads.

About give some moderation powers to some users, this kind of actions must be carefully evaluated, who knows what kind of actions could take a user, sound reasonable if you think that the support is not always checking the forum but it could be a problem too

Well, when a user is a costumer, they should be ban them for a week or some kind of warning if they are spamming and trolling the forum.

This place has always been unmoderated or very "light touch" moderated. There is noise and idiocy and some hysteria. But, the most offensive posters are typically called out by other, saner voices.

Like others, I've noticed the recent lack of visible responses by pornbox admin on the support board, which is worrying. I don't think anyone is coming to moderate this forum. But if they did, I wouldn't like it to go the way of "adultdvdtalk" in the US, where heavy-handed moderation by veteran superusers seems to have caused more controversy rather than calming things down.

If that’s easier to implement than proper, light touch moderation, then yes please.
I have all but stopped visiting the forum.
Much like the homepage is to scenes lately, it’s hard to find quality discussion in the forum among the ugly trash talk.
And like the discussion about scene quality vs quantity, yes, I can and do filter what I want/don’t want to see/read.
But this used to be a premium site and I would be happy for some of my hard earned $ to be spent making this place a more enjoyable place to spend time.

I think it is better to keep it as it is, and let others post too...otherwise, the forums would be very quiet on a daily basis, apart from a very small select number of regular posters...

Surely this 48% are full loyal costumers, the 44% of no, how many arent costumers?

Anyway some normality cames back whit the return of Kapown, i refloated the thread because the situation was a chaos during a whole month with trolls, spam and 0 support.
