Ukraine: whats next? just so wasteful & sad... no winners

Postby netzerkaiser » Thu Feb 02, 2023 9:13 pm

I have to say, it looks like this is playing out as a massive tragedy with only losers all round.

Russia still has a 4:1 numerical advantage, even discounting nuclear option.

Yet its battered economy & its losses in manpower have ensured its no winner here.

Ukraines situation is even worse, totally shattered for years to come. Those promised 50-100 tanks will make no difference really, will they?

We've seen "state of the art" tanks & helicopters not worth a fuck against keyboard warriors miles away. We've seen Western press revel in the explosion, war-porn, of these tanks & helicopters, completely ignoring the fact that probably brave & decent men were inside them, blown to kingdom come.

One would probably have a better chance, grim as that may be, as a hungry, cold, thirsty, exhausted foot-slogger in a foxhole.

That seems to be nature of situation.

Its just so sad.

Surely some common sense was lost on all sides in months leading up to war?

Including the West?

Very sad indeed. One life lost was one too many.

It's a quagmire and it could drag on for years. On the positive side, I noticed we haven't heard much from the various Putin cheerleaders/apologists in the forum for a while. Things not quite going to plan perhaps?

The ex KGB rat Putin is trying to reclaim Soviet glory days. Unfortunately, Ukraine is getting destroyed regardless of what it does. Only difference is, they can rebuild as slaves, or as free people. Also, if the ex KGB rat Putin succeeds, he will continue gobbling up Baltic states, and then former Eastern European block countries. He needs to be stopped. Ukraine can do the job, they just need the support and the tools.

It’s unfortunate that with the spread of mass media over the last century, people in powerful positions have figured out a way to abuse that privilege by using it to mass brainwash people. Kind of like the Nazis in the 30s. Legacy media is the most dangerous tool in their arsenal because they can do what they want without any pushback from the public. They can also hide their true intentions from the public because the media heads will not investigate or question them.

I can guarantee you that 99% of people have no idea that the US was funding bio labs in Ukraine, installed a puppet President in 2014, that the son of the current US president was on the board of a Ukrainian company that was paying him USD 50k a month and when the chief prosecutor started to look into it, he got fired because the then vice president threatened to withhold funding. Anyone aware that Obama was in Ukraine in 2005? Guess what he was doing there…

There’s way too many things to list, like how almost every congressperson that is voting for more weapons to be sent to Ukraine, is bought by companies like Lockheed and Raytheon, which make the weapons and are making ridiculous amount of profits at the expense of the taxpayer. You really have to dig deep to find the truth.

Notice how the US is pushing to continue this war more than the Europeans who actually share a border with Ukraine?

As for Putin, he is a ruthless dictator that wants to keep his power. He is no saint. But he knows the American public are suckers and he wants to keep this war going to keep piling on the debt on the US. He’s blowing up every tank and missile that arrives in Ukraine…and soon F-16s.

Keep in mind, Ukraine is considered one of the most corrupt countries in the world. Or at least was, until the mass media, changed its mind for some reason…

You know who gets fucked in the end. The poor people of Ukraine. Just like the poor people of Iraq. Just like the poor people of Syria. Just like the poor people of Yemen. And so on. The people at the top live lavish and safe lifestyles and play games with each other, while people die and suffer. And the public cheers them on.

Have you heard of a country called Poland? Or, as usual, is everything that happens in the world all about the USA?

Sorry DAPAddict. You're right. I guess I was drawn in by the other thread on Ukraine.

Apologies friend.

The reason of the brainwashing is that media all over the world is basically a franchise similar to McDonald's. The Washington Post, New York Times, and Associated Press post something and they promote the same narrative on the main channels of every single country, in the same way you buy the same Bic Mac in every single country. It is all propaganda and it changes depending of what they used to push.

This is why the same people that used to stand for freedom of speech, and against making wars longer, are the ones now trying to make wars permanent and censor the parts they don't like of free speech.

About US, the President isn't in charge. We had a president deplatformed from all his social accounts while he was still in office. If the sitting president of US is censored from public speech while in office it is easy to understand he is not calling the shots. It is an entire conglomerate of thieves from contractor companies and also pharmaceuticals doing it. People in charge of what narrative is acceptable in magazines, TV shows, newspapers, movies, etc..

Not gonna take sides here... but I DEEPLY sulute your intellect Bro.

I'm impressed. What is a country, nation, flaws & all, if we don't even have a national identifier?

Its only the truth.

& one I hope would wish all nations to have same individual beauty. Its not a question of one over the other. But I know you agree with this.

Jack Jackal is lying his teeths off.

Russia under Putin is a cleptocracy depriving russians of all resources including their mental health. Putin cannot accept a flourishing democracy as neighbour because then russians will figure out that they could have the same.

Ukraine is much much less corrupt than russia regardless of what Putin's propaganda wants you to believe and most importantly, the government wants to rid it. In russia corruption is the governments tool to enrich themselves and their cronies. When Magnitski reported to the russian government how much was stolen, Putin put him in jail and had him beaten to death.

Almost every democracy in the world are supporting Ukraine and they are not doing it without reason. While democraciestend to shy wars as it is their own wo are killed, this time we have realised that if we do not stop Putin now, it is the end of the free world. Putin would definitely invade and occupy all former Warzaw pact countries if he could. He has started seven wars and killed millions over the years.

While russia had a big army, most of it is one now. Almost all of regular trained troops and special forces are wiped out. Putin has added a few hundred thousand mobiks, Wagners and kidnapped civilians, but they have limited equipment and 3000 tanks less than a year ago. Many Ukrainians will die still, but there is no way russia can win.

Nukes are off the table as they were when Mutual Assured Destruction was understood. There is no way to use "small" tactical nukes without escalation ending in total destruction of russia and opponents. Putin knows this. His generals knows this or they would have used them long time ago.

Jocke, I lived in your beautiful country 1999-2001 & I can tell you first hand, that if anyone had any leanings, which at the time I didn't, towards Swedish SD's or away from Swedish SDP's, they were soial pariahs, no chance of job etc... total outcasts.

That memory remained with me. It marked me.

Do you dispute this?

Should a mans political leanings infringe on his life?

There are no real democracies in the World. Except maybe El Salvador where over 90% of people support their government. But that's super rare and weird to happen.

Yeah it's ironic that Jack is talking about people being brainwashed when he clearly gets all his information from QAnon.

It's also crazy how netzer tries to somehow blame this war on the West. Even if what Jack said was true, which it isn't, Putin is the one who has ordered the invasion of Ukraine illegally multiple times. You Putin apologists need to check out a book called "The Road to Unfreedom" to understand the current situation there properly.

War makes america a little better again. The US have a lot benefits. Europe is the bitch of America and ignore own interests. And Russia is a champ in surviving every crisis. China and India watch the show and eat popcorn. They benefit too.

Sorry guys, but this thread is completely wrong here.
The only thing that matters here is number of Ukrainian girls and porn studs ready to perform for Europorn studios vs. number of Russian girls and porn studs ready to do the same!
I currently see a slightly rising number of both passport holders, especially girls.
There is one pacifist Piter porn stud who fled to Bp and works on sets there as far as I know. And there is currently a former Russian porn studio re-locating in Estonia.

Btw, I fellow 2 Ukrainian former porn studs on social media defending their country against Putins invasion, but it's nothing to do with porn anymore, nothing to do with General discussion in a porn forum. It's Off Topics, sorry guys!

This is just a little fact many off you might not know.
By the way the lady is dressed we can assume that she was a prostitue or did lady’s dressed in such a manner in those days ?.

A woman is chased by men and boys during the 1941 Jewish Genocide of Ukrainians.

A series of "Lviv Pogroms" riots took place in the summer of 1941 in the city of Lviv in present-day Ukraine. In the riots, Ukrainian citizens, joined by German death squads, targeted and killed thousands of Jews.

It was part of the anti-Semitic movement at the time which is considered part of the Holocaust. Jewish citizens, like the woman in this photo, were attacked and brutally murdered. A sad part of Ukrainian history that is often overlooked.

Its a horrible picture, & it represents a horrible situation. However context is everything, & however wrongly it is, the Ukrainians blamed the terrible famine they'd just gone through in previous 10 years on the notion that the Ukrainian branches of the NKVD, that brutalised & starved them etc, was top heavy with non-Ukrainians etc. Hence also the vision of Germans as liberators.

No-one at the time had technology to show we've so much in common. At that time the different peoples from the town 30 miles away may as well been devil-worshipping aliens who ate babies.

Theres no excuse for this kind of thing today, but back then the world that filled peoples heads was radically less informed.

I think this is phrased the wrong way, it should read the Ukrainian genocide of Jews.

The faster Putin will give up the better.
I hope the large loss of soldiers and vehicles will soon be too much for Russia.

Putin's speech had a lot of success today :

I'm sorry if you can't see the difference between democracies and authoritarian countries like Russia, China, North Korea, Iran or Syria.
Democracy doesn't means 90% of the people supports the government. But it means people can chose.

The political system in more countries is just broken, you can't call that a democracy. There is no respect for what people want, just for what the elites push for. They all seem to have the same established group of people in charge making sure they follow the same agendas over time. The biggest perpetrators aren't just the governments tough, also the NGOs rewriting media and news outlets to push those agendas. A lot of cultures and traditions are at risk. We can see the results of what they are promoting by looking at society instability in countries like U.S., and it isn't pretty. The world doesn't want neither needs that, but somehow that's the agenda.

Yes, no political system is perfect.
But believe me, I prefer to live in France rather than Russia or China. Social system, human rights, freedom of speech aren't just the same.

Also why do you think Poland, Finland and baltic countries are pro-OTAN ?
They share borders with Russia, and some have even been part of it. They know Russia better than most countries.
And nobody wants to rejoin for eveident reasons. Russia has nothing attractive today. (except maybe pretty porn models, but I think most of them aren't pro Putin as well).

The difference is not as big as you are lead to believe, all those countries you mentioned are fucked including every country in NATO, heading for a modern form of communism.

Great point. I'm currently immersed in the 30 years war, the Swedish intervention, Gustavus Adolphus und so weiter, up to Charles XII 70 years later, & the demographic catastrophy all this caused the country, my 2nd home, & probably reverberates to this day... so you're probably right!

More like social point credit system, digital currencies, surveillance, subscription based economy. The mandates during COVID were a good preview of what's in the works.

That's "communism" is it? At least you can spell it, I suppose.
