Should I be worried?

Postby jackfieldband » Mon Sep 19, 2022 2:54 pm

Hi, just wondering how secure are my videos on pornbox. If something will happen to the site, God forbid, will you let us know? Should we worry much?
Thank you.

What brings this on?

I'm sure if something like that were to happen then our tickets would be still valid - no-one is going to take on the historical stuff without obligation to site members.

And the content of the site, its history, its practically impossible in current age for this to be lost.

Don't worry yourself.

Not sure exactly what you mean by "worry". Once you purchase a scene, it will remain in your library, however there have been some instances where scenes are removed from the site entirely, and in those cases, the scenes will be removed from your library. I've also experienced some scenes that were suddenly converted to a VR-only scene (which I don't want), and when I contacted support they refunded me rather than re-uploading the non-VR version.

For the most part, your library will stay how it is. But if you have any scenes that you really don't want to lose, I'd suggest downloading them and backing them up somewhere.

I don't think that's what normally happens, rather it will stay in the library of anyone who has previously purchased it. I've seen a few posts in the Support section where scenes have been removed but they've been reinstated on request.

Well, the reason I'm bringing this up is because I have a huge collection of NiciXDream 4k videos which I've nowhere to store because of their size and downloading just takes forever. Pornbox is a convenient storage solution and I don't want to lose it (I'm streaming the videos to my TV through Chromecast).

I have direct experience with this several times, enough for me to be wary of trusting that the scenes will be in my library "forever". There was the scene I mentioned that was changed to VR-only years after it was originally released, which effectively removed the scene from my library (and officially removed it when I contacted support). Another example is with all John Thompson/German Goo Girls. Porn Box decided to terminate their deal, but this also removed scenes from being accessible. There is a thread where it's mentioned that they should still be at the end of your library (viewtopic.php?f=68&t=37190), but that is not the case for me. They do not appear when searching, and for the few where I can find a direct link, I get an error when trying to click on it. I had a total of about 8 scenes from them, which I can't access anymore.

That sucks. Did you contact support to try to get this resolved?

That's not normal. You should still have access to them if you paid for them. I have asked the devs to take a look.

I know I had two scenes with the model 'Anni', but when I search my library for owned scenes, nothing from GGG comes up. I also know I had a few from Chessie Kay, but again, none of her GGG scenes show up when I search my owned scenes. There were as well, but I have since removed them from my hard drive, and since they're not in my library, I have no way of knowing.
