I think it is more to do with getting Jayla to agree to a deal and performing again.
I read in an earlier forum post that she was thinking of quitting porn, or not doing anal scenes for the time being.

Ultimately, I think it is all about the performer's happiness and her agreement to a contractual deal. If that cannot be ironed out, we will not be seeing Jayla back on our screens at AV anytime soon yet.

It would be a terrible shame for Jayla fans if she were to step back for a season, or even out altogether, as all of her scenes for AV to date have been absolute blockbuster scenes, and hugely appreciated by all.

Usually when a new performer appears here, it can take many scenes (half a dozen and more) of gradual incremental progression to build up her confidence and performance to a level where you feel everything is coming together each time and she is finally really working at her best.
But Jayla has been one of those genuinely outstanding (and exceptional) rarities here, in that she debuted at a level of intensity most performers don't reach even after half-a-dozen scenes or more (if at all), and she then continued to extended that level of passion and intensity with each new scene.
I bought and loved them all and they are still among my absolute favourite scenes of the year.
So I would miss her and her work hugely, and her not performing here again would indeed be a great loss to the studio.

But, at the end of the day, Jayla has to look after Jayla, first and foremost always; her personal happiness and peace of mind, her business and finances, and her long-term future.
And any concerns as to what other people want or expect of her shouldn't intrude (at all) on what she feels is best for her at all times, going on.
The December to January period, as old year turns to new, always leads to people reevaluating their lives (unmet expectations of the past, and ambitions for the future), so perhaps news will come sooner rather than later as to whether Jayla is closing the chapter on her adult career.

Jayla's debut (not DAP) sold over 70k units. Her follow up (not DAP) sold well over 100k units. Both for Giorgio's Lab.
Her third scene for Anal4Her (a studio with a far smaller following than GG studios) still hit ~50k units. Again, not DAP.

Personally I loved her third as much as her first two, as her styling and the studio setting was superb (Jayla really shone out in her red and gold) and I really appreciate high maintenance looks and attention to set detail. While the action may not have been as full-on as the Giorgio scenes, the Giorgio scenes appeared 'white box' plain beside the Anal4Her, and Jayla wore what seems to have become the one-size-fits-all uniform here for GG debuts (pink top, black skirt, heavy platforms).

But another Jayla & Giorgio, or Jayla & Gonzo scene, with the same 'maximum energy, maximum passion' Jayla signature performance style as her first two, has to score somewhere between 70k and 100k sales.
And it also needs to be factored in to potential future sales that when Jayla shot those first two scenes she was basically unknown, which would affect inital demand. Since then not only has she built a huge and dedicated following for herself here, but she has shot multiple scenes for Rocco (who arguably has a far higher profile in the US that any of the AV studios) and others.
At this point, Jayla undeniably has an international profile (with a consumer demand to match) far higher than when she began here.

So based on all available evidence, I just don't see the case (any case) for GG/Gonzo to make DAP the sine qua non 'deal breaker' principle on which any future scenes with Jayla must depend.

While it's well known here how much you love your DAP, DAPaddict (and everyone is entitled to push for 'their thing' in scenes, it's one of the reasons the forum exists), one should be wary not to project one's personal demands onto everyone else, as if they were a shared concern.
