Why we can not remove our own posts? I caught myself on the fact that I wrote a post on another topic than I should. I could not remove it. It's a big inconvenience.

Because you are supposed to think before you write something publicly. We don't want to see pages of discussions and then some people deciding that they should wipe their (maybe stupid?) posts, making holes in a thread.
