Hmm. Well, I suppose if it's the only way to shoot with the girl at first, it's okay. Do what you have to do to discover new talent. However, you have to understand what this looks like from the perspective of your customers. Condoms have never been a part of LP before, and now they've shown up twice in the space of one week. That doesn't look promising.

Suggestion: Perhaps you should wait to release scenes with condoms until you have shot and released more, non-condom content with the girl in question. Then make sure you clearly label the condom scene as bonus content.

Second, even if it had become law, it probably wouldn't have made any difference as it is unlikely that it would have been enforced. Few people know that there is already a law on the books in California that would require porn companies to use condoms that's been there since either the 1990s or early 2000s. However, everyone just ignores it, and most people don't even know about it. Had the new law passed, the same thing would probably have happened with that law where everyone just ignored because there's no way that Los Angeles has the resources to enforce it, which is probably part of the reason the bill died.

Finally, you are right that U.S. law doesn't apply to LP as LP isn't even located in the U.S. So even if there was a law in place requiring condoms which, again, there technically already is in California, but nobody pays attention to it, it still wouldn't apply to LP anyway. Since I've noticed that the only two scenes that have condoms in them are scenes with brand new girls who are claimed to have been fucked right after casting, I agree that the presence of condoms in those scenes probably has more to do with the girls not being tested yet. Again, I sympathize with you and I know that what you're doing is necessary, but you have a bit of a marketing problem on your hands here. To the average consumer, regardless of what's going on behind the scenes, it LOOKS like you've decided to start shooting scenes with condoms for some bizarre reason. Just label the scenes clearly as bonus post-casting content and you should be fine. Like, in big capital letters at the beginning of each scene title, put something along the lines of "BONUS POST-CASTING SCENE".
