Where to begin, hmmm

I went to the top 100 best seller scenes from 2018 section to see what I could learn,
I think there was not a single GlamPorn scene in the list. Just mentioning this because some of us
were suspecting that Gonzo stopped releasing movies daily because GlamPron was introduced.

But it doesn't seem to be the case.

However, while analyzing the top 100 best sellers from 2018
I noticed that Gonzo was underrepresented in said list.

So I started counting some things that I thought were relevant.

I came up with these numbers.

As of today, Gonzo has released 165 movies this year.
Giorgio Grandi, 201 movies.
Interracial Vision, 65 movies.
American Anal, 21.
Assablanca, 12.

So far, Gonzo has managed to place 15 movies, in the top 100 of the best sellers of this year.
Giorgio Grandi, 65 movies.
American Anal, 13 movies.
Interracial Vision, 4 movies.
Assablanca, 2 movies.

That means that the odds of any of the previous studios to produce a movie that
makes it to the best of the best, top seller of Legalporno is the following:

American Anal: 62% (basically 3 out 5 movies will make it to the top)
Giorgio Grandi, 32%. (1 out of 3)
Assablanca, 17%.
Gonzo, 9%.
Interracial Vision, 6%

American Anal numbers are pretty impressive.
I went to check how often does American Anal updates,

You know, Gonzo stole Sineplex thunder, with the power of mass production.
Because back then, we were thirsty for content, and Sineplex would take ages to release anything new.

But today is not about who makes the most content, but rather who produces the most content, that we are asking for.

Before you could decide whatever you wanted to do and we would buy it, but now, we are picky.

Magzi87, I count 48 scenes in my PornBox for 2018, all wet scenes. I think I skipped one or two, and I don't count the AA's weak attempts of let's not, and say we did. (although I did buy the first one for support.)

So let's say there were 50 piss scenes in 2018 (apologies if the number is off a little here and there), 24 of those are in top 100 (out of 609), With Ria Sunn holding #5. I did not see any wet scenes above 407.

The slow death of Gonzo mirrors the slow death of European porn in my opinion. I suspect, magizi, like me that you're basically a Gonzo fan - I mean, Giorgio is a very talented and hard working guy, the ultimate porn professional, but I've increasingly found his scenes repetitive, relentless and ugly, but that's what sells. Great assessment with all points are valid. It is safe to say some of the same folks who are outspoken about not having change with the presentation of model types and all are not backing it up by financially patronizing scenes. Looking around different discussions on this forum, it is clear change is needed. There are calls for more color/diversity with different ethnicity. There are also calls for more chubby/curvy models. There are also calls for the types of scenes with some offering detailed input. Let's mix it up some more at Gonzo.

Bottom line is, LP in general needs to venture out and listen to the calls for change. If we see Glam Porn releases daily and none are on the best seller list tells me there will be no harm giving change in another direction a try. It's a business that needs to adjust to keep going. Giorgio is engaging and incorporating some member ideas and AA is doing the same. The results are clear.

Especially the first two factors IMO (the third being more a consequence). Instead of changing a (medium looking at best) girl every night, they need a set of regulars who appear here every week/10 days. They do not necessarily need to be super-smokin-hot sure bets, just girls you think are skilled, fresh and cute and you want to invest in (Giorgio was able to make Monika Wild a regular in spite of initial low sales and bad feedbacks). Do Alexis Crystal sell well? Then shoot more scenes with her, 3-4 a month, and the same with other actresses, possibly helping their launch and initial sales putting them together with Alexis in 2 vs 3 or 2 vs 4 scenes. Sorry , it´s just that I never paid much attention to prone bone ... worth noting that sineplex fans use to spend serious cash. I've spent over $1000 through out the years. i have left over tickets from 2 years back. I haven't bought any scene in about 2.5 years. Sineplex were most loyal fans along with jay sin fans. On forum you barely hear sineplex mentioned. most sineplex fans even the silent fans have gone. And they supported other studios.

Gonzo has lost its magic touch at around SZ1200 - the following factors have come into play

- Terrible euro-dance intro music for first 15 mins
- This takes away the gentle moaning of the girl(s) as they tease there way into the scene
- Director chat over the top of this sometimes as well and during the rest of the scene.
- Using oversized dildos in the intros - its more about 'how big' rather than 'how deep'
- Reduction in 2 girl scenes
- Lack of hot new 'house' talent to replace - Linda Sweet, Timea Bella, Blanche Bradburry and Mea Melone - these were the frequent participants in 2 girl scenes
- Too much DAP - GG does DAP faster and better, DAP at gonzo just never feels as well captured.
- The trashy look of the girls (e.g tight dresses, scraped back hair, heavy make-up etc ) and a 'sexual heat' has gone missing in favour of DAP, I think a return to fast; balls deep & Standard DP fucking would help in place of a rush to get to the DAP. Im not saying no-DAP, just that there are other ways of hard fucking a girl.
- Poor to non-existant cumshots.

Also, 2 girls scenes does not sound repetitive such as the typical 3x1 or 4x1 scenes. About the third point, I loved the initial blowjob once the guys arrived (especially how it was shot), now the director apparently just does not care about BJs.

Also do not store scenes through eternity. Saving a scene for one year could be a nice move, for 3 years it's shooting yourself in the foot. They will always give diminishing returns. Recent Timea Bella and Tina Hot scenes, they were potential best-sellers if released 2 years ago. But now their names lost momentum, probably their fans gradually moved away. So empy your basement as soon as you can, there is no way a Timea scene or a pre-plastic surgery Blanche scene will sell better in a couple of years than now, their selling will just keep on decline more and more. Because we have too many in stock. But I agree than keeping scenes for too long is a bad idea and that they lose value. The interest for specific models tends to die down. People adapt to endless waiting by moving on.

I am happy to see Gonzo trailers have gotten longer, closer to two minutes like Giorgio's. This gives us more time to see if the scene has something we like. I need to see gapes in the trailer for me to buy. Fortunately for me there is plenty of gaping on LP

Now here we have the crucial difference between LP past and future: Arwen was scouted by SOS @ LP, but Veronica Leal is an external girl offered via Barcelona in Budapest and Prague. Veronica could replace Gina Gerson, performing up to DP but high sales still. But she'd need to be as available as Gina and Arwen were. Which I am afraid isn't her case.
