^^

Try to find first a coomon ground between you and the girl before asking about dating , some conversation themes where you both feel comfortable / at home .
Asking about dating / going out should come later .

The only thing thats important is this:

You have to feel you're "good enough for her". If you have that, you can just read a page from the telephone book to her.

If you don't have that, you're fucked. Women are not stupid. This is animal instinct.

I know. I was beaten more times than Finland by Russia in my teens & twenties.

How ironic (& genuinely poignant, I think), that now I have 'it all'... I really don't care anymore.

I like to add. From my experience. You will hear virtually all women state ‘confidence’. That means in everything you do. You may not be the perfect man, but if you can go out there take chances ask women and start conversations. You may get negative feedback or girls dismissing you. However, if you keep going (in a respectful gentlemanly manner) you will almost be guaranteed to find at least 5 women who will give you a shot. It’s kind of a statistical numbers game. Rejection is apart of life, it’s what you do after that counts. This applies to dating and approaching women.

If you as a person is mature and a responsible well developed person. By this I mean, not having any emotional hang ups or insecurities. Someone who can stand on your own two feet. Girls will see that quality and engage with you.

Key is to work on yourself. Feel good about yourself and who you are, be proactive. Then this energy will radiate towards others and the rest will take care of itself. You will know what to say and when to say it.

Zizi. Words? Man, just read some of your posts. You are a translator. I have faith that you know the words to speak. But the possibilities that you have is wide ranging. You can speak to a wide collection of women considering your profession. That gives you more opportunities than most guys.

I read you are unhappy with you weight. There is no need to be. You are in control of your body. Start doing 5 mins jogging on the spot, buy yourself a stopwatch or use an app etc. As the weeks go by gradually build it up. Life is a journey. It takes time to achieve the results. The important thing is starting. Don’t lose hope! You are in control of your destiny.

You have an interest in music. Have you tried learning an instrument like a guitar. You like how certain singers express their words. For me it sounds like you have the qualities to be a singer yourself. Trust me. If you can experiment with performing it will do your soul a lot of good.

You sound like a good guy considering how you value looking after your mother. I’m sure your mother would want to see you happy too. As would many people you come across, like on this forum. I believe in this. Just believe that you can!

You’ve gone. But if you do again look at this forum. We are rooting for you!

Hello Zizi,

I hope you'll look in here from time to time.

Some good hearted people here have given you (I think) some good advice.

Losing weight is a long, hard lonely journey. But it is so worth it when your self-esteem and mental health are at stake. Just hang in there and you will make progress. If you use tools like the myfitnesspal or fatsecret websites and apps (free); they have large supportive communities in their forums who encourage each other through the dark days. Costs you nothing to take a look.

And when you're making progress and feeling better inside yourself, then every other difficulty you face magically becomes less intimidating and more manageable.

Stay strong, Zizi, and good luck!

Thanks! No problem. It’s very easy to give positive words when the person provides so many positive information about themselves. It’s good that you are open. Keep that line of dialogue going even if it’s online. Obviously in a community that’s nice and respectful.

Keep going. You have a lot going for you. Don’t let anything hold you back. Good luck.

This is a weird one, I was already in a relationship and my current partner was actually someone who I was seeing on the side.
The excitement of having a mistress was incredible.

I really liked the girl I was with initially, but when it came to sex - she was just a bit of a starfish.
She broke up with me, citing that we were not sexually compatible. Everything then fell into place smoothly, and the rest as they say is history...
