Hi,

Would like to confirm that Xvideos and LP have the same owner/parent company.
If it's correct, then I am also wondering if any assets earned from Xvideos are used to finance scenes in LP. This would make my day, because for a long time I've been wondering why all performers do super nasty stuff only for LP and John Thompson. My biggest guess is that LP gives bigger salary than anyone else. So, if it's true that they share owner with Xvideos, then the owner can just use LP as a personal fetish hobby, because he makes enough money from Xvideos and doesn't need more..

Symbiotic relationship, they depend on each others, AV owner can publish videos in xvideos after 1-2 years, xvideos can increase the publicity of AV by doing so, for every video you watch in xvideos, xvideos gets 0.05-0.1$(if you are from Western country, it's less in developing countries) from advertisement. Means if a particular AV video is watched in xvideos 100,000 times, xvideos gets 5,00- 10,000$ from advertisements, the production cost is around 5,000. Even the worst selling movie in AV gets it investment back from AV. So The total money an average movie makes after 2 years will be around 10,000- 20,000(from an avg 500K views). Xvideos can use some of that money to fund AV, I will use 10-30% to fund AV if I were the owner.

Thank you for you for your wholehearted reply, you have a strong argument. However, I am certain the seventh most visited site in the world has enough profit not only to fund a small private porno studio, but also to launch a methane powered heavy rocket to Mars and back to Earth many, many times.
This is why I am curious, why they would even need a porno studio like LP/AV.

Why do Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk own all manner of unrelated businesses?
Same reason the people who own Pornhub own Brazzers, etc.
Because they can. Because they want to.
No need for the businesses to subsidise each other if they can stand on their own.
