She's beautiful but I think it was obviously from not long after she started that her heart wasn't in it.
I wouldn't be so sure. The producer who shot her first scene and who knows her better than you (I suppose) and I, said differently: viewtopic.php?f=104&t=20116#p211379It's a shame but I think your assessment of her options is a bit narrow and uncharitable.
Why do feel it's a shame what I said? How I said it, was exactly how it was when I followed her stories from one local farmers shack to another for a small-money striptease gig.
In between she lived a simple life with one girlfriend and her dog.
Anyway, I forgot about her account (I added +3k accounts over the years on Insta), so I decided to search for her in my follow list, but she wasn't there any more and now I can't find her any longer. Last time I checked was one and a half months ago, so who knows when her account got disabled (or taken offline by her) again. She had a few accounts that got disabled since her Temptation Island reality show.
I do know she sometimes got bullied in the comments, but I hope she's mentally strong enough and that it wouldn't be a reason to quit social media. It looked like she had fun sharing her life. She's young, attractive, she seems intelligent and educated, there are clearly far more options than porn open to her, and if that is the way she wants to go, then it's a shame for us (selfishly on our account) but probably for the best for her.
You are making a lot of assumptions based on hunches, feelings, beliefs, personal opinion and what not. Perception and truth is not the same. Maybe she will go into modelling? Or media? Or travel around? Who knows. But if she has made her mind up, then a clean break probably smarter than trying to have one foot in 'normal' life, and the other in porn. You can't go anywhere far or fast if you are driving looking in the rear-view mirror.
If you know how this biz works, more praticularly, how certain rogue cockblocking producers and (Hungarian based) agencies have worked for the last two decades, then you know what probably has happened. I think Robin Reid said it very clear on multiple occasions how talented models who WANT and who want to have a big career in porn for lots of different (international) companies are being cockblocked by (porn) politics. In the end the cockblockers have their exclusivity, rogue agencies have money in their pocket, and the models ultimately quit porn disillusioned due to lack of work.
By 'not long after', I meant after she had shot her initial round of two or three scenes in her first month or so.
I do remember (as you reference) Robin saying that she seemed curious to try more and appeared to have some ambition, but once a year went by after that initial round of scenes, it strongly suggested her appetite and curiosity had either waned or she had found something else she would rather do. Young women want to try things out and experiment, and sometimes they may try something and for whatever reason, they decide it isn't for them. It's natural and part of finding themselves.
You mention inter-industry politics maybe playing a part. It's clearly possible, and you can speculate, but that is also a default presumption here for all models that withdraw from action early in their careers. It may equally be that they just didn't feel it was for them. Unless and until she says so, we will never really know.
That said my negative feelings towards PW are the same as yours for all the same reasons.
Re my comment that your assessment of her recent history seemed cold and uncharitable, I say so purely because you make it sound like a miserable and desperate existence certainly forced upon her, whereas it may simply be her choice, for many reasons;
Performing locally means she doesn't have to suffer the recognition and b*llshit (you state bullying being a potential reason for her withdrawal from social media) that often accompany global recognition as a 'pornstar'.
Cabaret/burlesque/striptease can be a decadently arty and playful form (intended and performed as, even if not appreciated by audience as). More enjoyable for her maybe, if she is interested in burlesque and dance than plain sex on camera work.
It's also vastly less stress and risk of infection than penetration scenes, and without any international travel headaches.
From your description of her lifestyle, it sounds as if she is possibly more inclined to enjoyment of the simple pleasures, than ambitious in the way some US/Russian performers can be.
Ostentatious public lifestyles accompanied by conspicuous consumption are not really the Scandinavian dream in the same way they are in those bigger countries.
To have something to do, someone to do it with, and somewhere to do it, is often enough. To be happy, rather than 'to be seen to seem to be happy' all over the media, may be where she has got to via her various adventures.
I suppose that may be part of a certain romantic fantasy I am inclined to have towards her, that she is educated and cultured and has options she prefers to adult work, but I suspect many of us create an image around performers we feel an affection for. It may be no more true than false, but I don't think there is any harm in it and it may even apply in her case.
If PW has screwed things up for her, it would be interesting to hear more from her about it one day.
Not only for her to clarify her reasons for departing the scene, but to potentially warn other performers from getting involved with him.
Then again, if one of her reason from withdrawing from the scene is for more privacy, then her continued silence can be understood. Especially if some of the bullying she suffered came from toxic PW allies.
Anyway, I wish her the best of luck for her future. Any happiness is hard to find. May she find hers very soon.
