Well, there is a whole bunch of reasons, but mostly;
Female talents feel underpaid, along with the fact that they get NO sort of ownership rights or royalties/residuals/commission from the filmed content they perform (unlike any other actor/actress in the world (I'm talking mostly pro TV & Movies). Also may feel like they don't really have any sort of control, and have to "go along to get along" (despite (not so)"safeguards" in place) to stay popular & in demand, and not get poor reputation from within the business. Simply put, female talent makes more money for way less work, along with having ownership & control over it.

Also rates have steadily declined because of "free" internet porn (quite a complex & layered issue) but why should they bare the brunt of it alone, and not the major companies instead. They don't want their stuff out there? Too bad, or they should do something/more about that in terms of fighting back/against that. Ever been on a porn-based forum and notice that certain models have almost all posts taken down for "copyright infringement" (sometimes the same day it was posted), while 98% of the rest have not 1 removed? That's because someone in their camp/team searches that out, and then reports it. Not because the forum/website felt like it. Major labels/distributors should have a TEAM of people that do that all day, every day. Invest in better protection measures and/or help develop the next new one instead. Maybe there should be more than the one "part-time" gonzo director if they need more revenue generated. Maybe that would help with "staleness" feeling many users keep posting about, and probably partly to blame for poor sales.
