I heard the news. I had too much to say to reply to that thread in the general forum. I will do that later.
Out of curiosity, I have a few questions.
1.) Giorgio, how much money in profit do you consider would be worth your time in creating porn content? $100K, $200K, $500K, or $1M annually?
2.) Giorgio, would even the lower figure above be enough, if you only had to produce 4 scenes a month, 48 scenes a year?
3.) Community, how much are you willing to pledge a month in order for Giorgio to reach his profit target? For me, I can do $200 to $300 a month.
I once said that while it is freakin fantastic for us to get 2 scenes released during a particular day, it is bad for GIO's business. I would even expand on that further by saying that releasing daily is bad for his business. The average revenue per scene would get spread out between like 35 scenes for that month. Ouch!
And boy, as much as I love wet scenes, I can do without them. While I personally find those scenes very hot, I do understand that women might not enjoy them. And I'm the biggest cheerleader of women. Back during this studio's peak in 2022, when I was buying 12 scenes a month, I have to admit that I knew a really hot wet scene was going to come out any day now, so I spent all my money on those. I could have easily spent that money on dry scenes too. Nicole Black and Jessy have the hottest dry scenes and they are an instant buy to me. So yes, if expectations are lowered, we can buy dry scenes. Another thing I would like to add: watching a chick get pissed on, doesn't increase my odds of buying. Watching a cocktail scene where the chick finish the cup with a dry chin, that's when I buy. So basically, go all the way dry. Anything in between, doesn't move the needle much.
So, let's do some math. If you do 4 scenes a month, you can possibly expect this much revenue:
$10 x 1,000(volume) = $10,000 weekly
Release 4 scenes monthly = $40,000
There are 12 months in a year = $480,000
As a bonus, you could actually be looking at $520,000 (because there 52 weeks in a given year)
I believe after paying the stars and Pornbox, you can still have around $150K in profit. As a big seller and a big reason for Pornbox's success, I don't see why they wouldn't lower the costs they charge on your revenue. I believe Giorgio can also do well of having his own site, so that he has more control on how he promotes his content.
I used very, very conservative number for weekly volume. If you're not doing at least 1,000 in volume, then you might have a serious piracy problem and I might be willing to spend some of my time in helping you combat that. With 8B people on this planet, I'm sure you can have over 100,000 people very interested in the content and if we can just get 10% of them to buy at a very reasonable price of $10 in ticket value, you should well exceed your profit target.
Nevertheless, $150K a year and only having to do filming's every 3 months, I wouldn't consider that as too bad.
