I still don't understand why studios don't use 3d cameras (some of them simultaneously).
People could see different versions, have their favourite camera angles and could have the max. benefit.

I really would like to have the raw versions, before they where edited. Because I'm sure I would get much more material I really like with closeups and my favourite camera angles.

Agreed, would like to see VR180 cams (8k) used alongside flat 8k, and larger choices of files with higher bitrates. Would even pay extra.

It has fantastic lenses which have edge to edge clarify for porn viewing, and a decent resolution bump over the Quest 2. Finally caved in and bought a Meta Quest 3 today - my first VR headset experience ever. After just a few hours fooling around with it (and having subbed to SexLikeReal) I am already officially blown away. I'm sure it won't entirely replace my 2D porn viewing habits as that still seems to have the benefit of mobile camera focusing on the action, but the VR stuff just feels so damn real. Tried out a striptease video, and it really did feel like they were in the room with me - whilst the actual sex scenes were pretty insane. Something about the 3D feel of it, makes it feel so much closer when you zoom into faces etc, than even the most close-up 2D porn on the biggest screens can.

Most people sleeping on VR have only tried Quest 2 or worse hardware. The Quest 3 is substantially crisper with the right 8k files. I've been trying to advocate for this, it'll happen eventually as the above studios already show.

I really hope so. About 50% of all the porn I watch is VR now, and the benefits of the format are amazing - even some of the relatively 'tame' stuff, like when you get a super close-up of the girl's face staring at you whilst she's getting fucked, just scratches an itch that 2D porn cannot get close to. But what I really want is to combine that stuff with double anal gangbangs, pissing, etc - all the classic Legal Porno action. Even anal piledriver (my favourite position in 2D sex) seems to be absent - I haven't found a single scene with this position yet.

95% of VR porn seems to be POV featuring a single male actor, (so no DP/double anal). I get the benefits of the POV style for VR, but in my mind it doesn't work best in all angles - particularly the cumshot, where it's always distant (as it is in real life), when they could cut to a closep. What they really need to do is edit scenes so they are a mix of POV and close-up action, but so far no-one seems to be doing it. I just recently grabbed a VR headset. It was actually Apple that piqued my interest, but I said no way to $3,500 and purchase a headset from Meta. Meta should be thanking Apple for that sale.

You're not the first one I've heard say that about Apple.

And you're right, not there yet but we'll get there. Really the only factors right now are visual quality per dollar and size/comfort/convenience of use per dollar. Both of these are still not great, but have improved a lot. Take a look at the size of a Big screen Beyond. That's just a few ounces and something most people can get behind but it's $1000 plus $500 for tracking. When that size with a higher microoled visual quality scales down at the $500 price point, people are going to start jumping in.

The Bigscreen Beyond is more than 3 times as light as the Quest 3 and half the size. Up the resolution a bit further and scale costs to $500 in the hands of a larger company, and interest will continue to generate.

That's really cool. But yeah, I really purchased the headset to see how much I would like the experience. I thought that I heard that Google and Samsung teamed up to create a headset. There's no doubt that it would be a good headset eventually. Do you remember the iPhone killer by Samsung back in the late aughties called the Samsung Instinct? That phone sucked, but because the bar was kind of low back then, I think it did okay with sales. And Bixby sucked until recently. I can see the same thing happening again, since Samsung never made a VR headset before, if I'm not mistaken. If they can give me a good one for $1,500 to $2,000, I can do that. But again, expect Samsung to get it right on the 3rd generation or so.

In the meantime, I have my Quest 3 headset. It's heavy, but kind of fun. I know Tiffany Tatum did like a 4K blowjob video (there's no VR version) a few years back. Man, it was a thing of beauty.
