I am against romanticizing any job. I'm also someone who would rather reduce my standard of living than do a job that breaks me down.

I'm also not a fan of modern "assembly line" porn production. I would refuse that (as a man or as a woman). One should only have sex with those he/she feel like and only do what he/she feels like doing.

But I have my own theory on the subject:

a) people in creative professions often seem to be a bit more impulsive and weird ("artist syndrome")

b) Since the industry is heavily taboo and most people are guided by social taboos (regardless of whether they make sense or not), there are two kinds of people left in the industry:

- those who are tough, courageous or intelligent enough to rationally see through and ignore the taboos. Since these people are generally very rare in society (most people simply obey) there aren't that many of them.
- those who ignore the taboos because they are generally a bit "crazy" and generally don't give a damn about rules or good behavior. These are the drama queens am talking about.

In life, I always try to combine the pleasant with the useful, spiced up with a dash of humor.

This is an approach that some OF creators have also understood - and they earn a lot of money with it. Often even more money than many of the "professionals" who sometimes soullessly reel off their job like it's strenuous work that they don't even want.

Fame, money, and the potential for either causes drama. Look at YouTube and social media over the last two decades and all the incredible drama that's arisen out of that. There's a whole sphere of YouTube dedicated to making videos explaining YouTube drama, and there's often beef between those creators!

I don't think it's true that porn attracts unstable people (whether porn scouts look for unstable people since they might be easier to convince to shoot it is a different question). Rather, porn - especially OF models, where they haven't got a studio backing them - puts people suddenly in front of a large audience that they then depend on for money, which does weird things to people.

Plus, getting caught up in drama has a chance of going viral, suddenly giving you a huge audience... So the success of some models is based partly on their ability to stir up drama. I bet there are some who manufacture drama in the hope of getting views on their profile, exactly like how they'll copy viral tweets.

I think you are not aware of the enormous pressure porn girls are put through by studios as well as their audience, their fans, us users.

It's not true that these performers are mentally less stable than other creative and/or entertainment industry workers or maybe even average general population, but pressure is just so much bigger.

I've seen many dramas and lived through some of them against my will, I know what I am talking about. It helps just to step back and see behind and be compassionate enough to see the good in these girls giving us users so much - and paying a high price for it!
