We've all seen the studios that post a video with a price of like 35+ tokens for one amateur video, in poor lighting, which is like 8 minutes long, without a trailer even listed, and none of the genres tagged and only some of the performers listed.

Why do site owners allow this on the site when it doesn't sell? Of course, I can block these studios from the list, but another one will pop up the next day. Am I the only one who sees this lack of quality and thought as a waste of space? Thoughts?

If one or two idiots buy it, they've made money. If a few idiots see the content and then search for the creator elsewhere, the studios gets exposure. The bar is very low, but that is what this site has become.

OF isn't helping things either. Custom content by a performer is really ... just ordinary content, but, with that performer.

In an industry with, literally, millions of performers now, and with the ability to distinguish oneself almost next to impossible, the very nature of the industry has changed.

It used to be that one could earn a good living based off of the talent pool being smaller and opportunities for those willing to do whatever act bringing with it a lot of notoriety. But now - with one in every five girl's willing to take off her top for fifty bucks a month on OF - the very nature of the beast has changed.

Enter the Pay Pig.

This little oinker fucked us all. A real weak-wristed simp of a man willing to pay top dollar, any dollar amount, to his favorite girl on the Internet just so she would acknowledge him. These wastes of space actually can put down six digits on a single girl, who does next to nothing to earn it. Like ... she doesn't even fuck him, spend time with him, or anything ... and he's peeling off thousand dollar bills in her direction like they're banana peels.

Suddenly now - in an industry where there are millions of performers - and not enough sperm to be spent between them all - every single performer needs to get more out of every single customer. And since those oinking simps paved the way to say, "Hey, really, you can charge whatever the fuck you want - somebody is going to pay it."

There are girls out there, 7 out of 10 at the very best, who charge 50 dollars per minute for a custom video. Fucking madness.

So - I get it - but I still can't fully appreciate how next to everyone and their grandmother now taking their shirt off for money - has made the acquisition of porn more expensive. It's like the absolute opposite of every economic law that's been taught over the past five hundred years. Absolute crazy batshit insanity this new reality is.

And then there's PB/AV.

These guys have some of the best remaining studios left in the World - but refuse to actually take the time to release the scenes to the public. Instead, every day, a litany of scenes that were first released in 2001, and were considered absolutely meh then. Some fucking Asian twink with a cock in his face near the top of the page that makes me want to punch the computer screen right through the wall. The 400 pound South American mould of jelly fucking another 400 pound planet of obesity in an empty parking lot with a single 12 watt bulb in the ceiling on a 240p webcam.

These are our options. This is what Legalporno has become. This is how hard everyone worked when in possession of the name that Giorgio himself made into an industry legend.

Burning our money would actually be smarter.

Exactly - there are a handful of whales out there, with such deep pockets they can afford any price. As long as the studio can find these whales, the scene makes a profit.

Yes, but this isn't a profitable business model for Pornbox. I'll continue your analogy about fishing to make my point.

For the creator they can throw an infinite amount of bad bait (corn kernels, garlic cloves, jalapeños, etc.) and pollute the waters all they feel like while waiting for the whale without a thought or care.

On the other hand, Pornbox is trying to sell the idea to the other fishermen that their waters have the most active fish, and are convincing them that if they rent out a boat and some rods from them, that you're definitely going to catch some awesome trout, bass, salmon, and maybe a whale if you're lucky. But because the water is polluted all the fish run off, or have a full belly from the bad fishermen, then what?

I understand why the content creators do it. But I don't understand why Pornbox allows it.

If I'm a studio and I see my trailer views dropping more and more each month as the feed gets more and more cluttered, I wouldn't stay around.
