meaning/significance of latina models 'BLESSED' tattoos?

something i've wondered about for a while (probably as long as i have been obssessed with the unparallelled wonderfulness latina models) is the meaning or significance of some of their tattoos, in particular the 'BLESSED' tattoo, which appears time and time again on the upper chests of latina models, usually horizontally across but sometimes vertically down (as in the example below, as modelled by the adorable Miley Kitty)

Miley Kitty NT-09-08-23 1.png

this is a small and subtle version of it, but other models have it much larger and often in a very elabourate and ornate wordform (almost unreadable)

there are images and words which are ubiquitous in the universe of tattoos (roses, skulls, lions and tigers (and bears, oh my!), birthdays, 'live love laugh' kind of phrases) but i've only ever seen the BLESSED one on latinas. i haven't thought about it enough and to establish whether this is region or country specific (it could be that Colombian or Venezuelan models have them and Brazilian models don't, or vice cersa), but it definitely seems to be latin america specific, as far as i can tell

so can anyone here who has a better understanding of the youth scene in latin america enlighten me what it means or signifies (if anything)?
is it the name of a particular scene or cultural 'tribe' (live ravers-clubbers have tribes) popular among the youth of latin america?
is it some kind of super-chic (perhaps members only) and fashionable scene or club that models want to advertise that they are members of?
maybe it relates to specific 'crews' (cultural/scene crews not crime related) particular to regions of Colombia or other cities?

and maybe it means nothing at all and it's just a tatto that is popular in latin america. but i keep seeing it on models i'm a big fan of, so wondered if it has any particular significance. being fascinated by the models i can't help but be fascinated by the culture within which they exist. i'm of a different generation and live in a different part of the world so i find it all extremely exotic, cool and exciting

thanks for your thoughts ideas

It doesn't mean a thing. Caribbean people, especially colombian are very into religious stuff. I had a colombian girlfriend years ago, so i understand a little bit of their culture. And "blessed" is a very common word, if you ask a girl "how are you doing today", if she feels great, she would probably reply "i'm blessed". Again, it doesn't mean that this person is a good or a bad one. They just use this word (blessed) a lot. Colombian prostitutes use a lot the word "blessed", when they are making good money, so i think you get the idea, when it comes to sex business, it means money. I hope it helps.

many thanks for the comprehensive explanation, Tom. that makes a lot of sense, whether it's to express a sense of well-being or express making good money through xxx work (or both)

and Daniela Garcia aka Athena Rose is another perfect example (neck tattoo), blessed by the gods in all aspects as she so clearly is

I didnt know that, although long ago I had a Colombian gf as well, but I guess we broke up too early for me to get to know that culture.
