"Top ideas" improvements

Add a way to help us differentiate the ideas already liked or seen and put them on a different list, beneath the new or unseen ideas. This will help us sort through the ideas without having to check or read the list every time we're here.

Add a tick or marker to the ideas that are gonna be implemented, at least on a distant future, IMO if it's not scheduled to be implemented in a 12 month period is not gonna fly. Maybe even express which ideas were considered but are not something that fits your vision and thus will not be considered...

Is it just me? I'm missing the ideas button that used to be at the top of the page. Did they move it or take it down?

It was there earlier today. But the button is now gone for me also.

Not only is the button gone, visiting the URL directly redirects back to the general discussion forum now.

It would be nice to let us know what is going with the list!

I had it removed, because I didn't ask for it in the first place. We can't find information with too many sub-forums.

Well for me at least, it was way easier to put my support clearly behind those ideas I like. The forum is quite difficult to see what most people would like. There's more arguing than just voting what you like. And secondly, most people don't take time to say "no" with those ideas in the forum threads. Most people who go to those threads just go to the ones they agree with and say +1 or Yes, or something like that. Most people won't go to all the thread ideas that they don't like, just to say no. At least with the simple voting with the idea thing we can see easily what people would really like. :)

I thought the ideas feature was working well and I agree it was a far more effective and organised way to gauge which ideas the majority of people support. Some of the ideas were related to topics that are endlessly discussed on the forums but received surprising few votes. This just confirms what we already knew, that there is a vocal minority repeatedly voicing their opinions on the forums and giving a false impression of what the majority of members actually want to see.

I agree with above. The Top Ideas was easier to read and allowed for a simple mechanism to vote for what you liked. I hope it was not removed because the most popular idea was a coming soon section. This seems to be like finding the Holy Grail on LP. :D
