Random thoughts while downloads are down.

I hope ppl can understand my english:
Hello, I was looking for scenes to watch, mostly girls I like, doing DP scenes since that's what I prefer, but download server appears to be down. Anyway, while I was searching I noticed that many scenes, regardless of it being a cream, or piss, or whatever type of scene, were lost in a sea of content. Even with girls that are great looking like Milla Yul for instance.
What I mean by lost is, they didn't sell pretty well. Now, what I do for a living is taking a look at situations and optimize them, so naturally I just started to think about why these scenes didn't perform.
I began remembering what was going on during the time some of these scenes were released. And came to the conclusion, that some scenes, were not given a real chance to shine. I obviously see this as a problem, especially for DP scenes since I care those sell well, so producers keep filming them, heh!
For instance
When a scene is released while the webpage is down for several days. Many customers will miss it out just because they didn't saw it.
When the scene is released and the customer does not have tkt left to spend and his next recharge is a week away, and by then, other, also good scenes become available and cause the customer to forget about the previews scene, unless of course he REALLY likes the girl of the one week old scene.
Back in November 2013, or around that time, like 60 or so scenes were released the same day, because content managers were just letting footage pile up out of control. AND we were complaining we saw all this crazy good trailers but no actual full scenes (which also lead to the removal of the coming soon section for some odd reason, WTF?!)... LP wanted to start a new era of better customer service I figure, but IMO they didn't thought this one through, well enough. And being in August 2014, and they still have a lot of stuff to iron out. I hope it's not a money problem. Moving on...
Back then, scenes were 1 tkt each for the most part, but unless you had a 100 tkt per month like I did (which I think was the $79.90 business model of back then), you had to be picky and choose which scenes you liked the most to buy them (pretty much same situation as now, but IMO worse) with the other subscription plan, 20 tkt a month I think, since many scenes in that bunch sold below 100k copies, my guess is that most LP customers run with the cheap subscription model and have a low amt of tkts to spend. (although its cheap only in the surface). Given that some scenes have sold the likes of 300k to 1 million copies, a scene with only 30k views or less, seems like a total catastrophe to me. Unless, people really pay $10 dollars or whatever for an individual scene and inflate scenes with so many views, Which honestly I think is insane. LOL. But is possible.
So what I'm saying is, that obviously, most of this content will be skipped by costumers, because they don't have enough tkts to buy scenes. Which is not what I think LP wants, I would imagine that their strategy is, make content so good that customers don't cancel their subscription plan, like ever. But if customers can't see all the stuff they like, and feel forced to buy more tkts, they might feel like your are milking them out, which is never a good feeling. And what is possibly happening, customers just buy tkts when a girl they REALLY like does a scene for LP, but that doesn't seem like something good for LP from a financial perspective.
I know some customers dislike DP scenes, which has been the flavor of the past month, and they keep piling up on tkt, but for ppl who do like them, or say "tolerate" DP scenes and buy it for the girl, we are always running low on tkts. I mean, I pay for the 3 month plan and sometimes also pay for a 120 tkt recharge and still have many.... MANY scenes I haven't purchased, that I want to see, because I dont have tkts.
IMO this creates some significant issues:
The "other" studios, that shoot content with significantly worse equipment (camera, lightning, etc), many scenes do not offer pictures, and male actors who look like normal people, feel low quality to us, "filler" content. I would say most of us feel like wasting tkts on those studios. Because those scenes rarely sell more than 30k copies the first two weeks. Which probably leads LP to believe that the girl on that scene was "un-atractive" and they just don't hire the girl anymore because she sold "few" copies from that lower quality studio. With that said, I'm pretty sure a lot of people follow the girl, not the content type, so they buy 1 month form any porn site, cancel the renewal and move on to a different site because they only want the scenes from their favorite pornstar. And when they visit your site and find out, that their favorite girl only did one scene for you, also see a high entry barrier (stiff prices, shady name, pain in the ass account creation and bank security) They probably figure out its too much hassle for 1 or 2 scenes and leave.
Also, if you release a scene, when the majority of customers have ran out of tkt, its gonna have low sales. Thus creating the illusion that the girl in the scene is highly disliked... Which suggest the business model you offer to the customers needs to be re-visited.
