For me in mid 2023 the last hope of Kira Thorn returning to porn work in Prague died when she announced her official retirement. Ofc I knew she had moved on, she hadn't performed since end of 2019 already, but I kept a ray of hope alive until she really said it very clearly. She's still young, a lot may happen and Audrey Hollanders case shows a comeback is even possible after more than 10 years, but for the moment what stays is a feeling of big loss.

Sara Bell for me. Pretty nerdy girl with glasses is such a rarity in hardcore pornography. To be fair, she might be the only one who conforms to such archetype on LP/AV (I know Emejota exists, but she is not on the same level yet).

I get she is your favourite dap-addict, but Kira Thorn really doesn't belong in this list imo. She may have specifically announced it in 2023, but when you haven't shot anything since 2020 you are retired even without saying it. You could have used someone who actually did retire last year like Moona Snake or Sweetie Plum.

Sarah Bell is not retired and I hope she never does. All-timely, she is the greatest performer on LP History while being very attractive and that's a rare combo
Otherwise, Manea Valentina is dearly missed for she's an awesome performer too

Kira Thorn wasnt active for LP anymore, indeed, but she did shoot porn in Goa still.

The retirements have been a tough one for me this year, with Kira Thorn being my all time favorite, Julia Red being my second favorite, and Sara Bell being in my top ten. Happy for them all and hope nothing but success in their future endeavors, but as a fan been a rough year.

You know, somebody on this forum once said it best with a saying to the effect of "if she's not on Analvids, then she's retired as far as I can tell." I kind of feel the same sentiment. But yeah, Kira Thorn did had an active OF account where I guess she can masturbate on camera. I only stayed subscribed for a month or 2, since I can't get much out of those anymore.

For me, when a chick announces a retirement, I have mixed emotions. I'm sad that I won't see any new content of her, though her old work will forever live on the web. I'm happy for her, because while us guys love being entertain, an adult entertainer isn't the most admired profession. And a sizeable portion of them might not be that happy off camera.

Jessy Jey's retirement wasn't a huge shocker after the latest scene I purchased of her. The scene felt odd as in she was asked to do something in the scene that she didn't agree to. I don't think that was the case, but that was the vibe that I got. She was clearly unhappy in the scene. I kind of wish at times that the guys had higher emotional intelligence. For instance, if a girl is struggling drinking, maybe grab the cup and pour it on her hair, of course though if the director is okay with that. We guys should be gentlemen.

I recently commented on my hope that Gonzo stays with us and with its original form. While we love cocktail scenes, we maybe asking for too much, as GIO has pretty much had a cocktail scene for like a week straight. Gonzo is similar to GIO, but with an audience (though smaller) that is okay with cumshot facial. To add, I think cocktail scenes should be done 4 times a month max. The monthly tickets reload only allows us to buy at most 4 scenes if we're lucky. With so many supply of cocktail scenes we can safely say that the average revenue generated per scene would go down.

Back to Gonzo, it's a studio that doesn't put as much mileage on the chick, allowing her to stay in the game longer.

While we lost some good ones this year, we did get Lady Ana, Christina Starr, Monika Wild, Kaitlyn Katsaros, and Rebel Rhyder (I think we can add her because she wasn't a frequent star with GIO prior to 2023).

By the way, I voted for Manea Valentina, though I love a lot of the options you provided. My understanding of why Manea retired as quickly as she did was due to heavy mileage put on her.

Nobody put something on her, but herself!
She performed DAP very fast for LVP, than 3-4mt later she went to Prague and performed a lot of scenes there for Gonzo, many DAP amongst them, but she could have turned down some bookings. Manea Valentina basically worked in porn for 1 year and then late 2022 she retired. No idea why actually. Looks like she just wanted to move on.
