Shooting Videos at HFR - 50/60 fps

Postby fajlsX » Sat Feb 22, 2014 6:21 pm

Just out of curiosity does not plan to shoot video scenes at HFR (High Framerate),... 50/60fps. Movement is closer to reality. Very smooth images. ;)

Not really. I have on HDD scene of Ava Addams from JulesJordan website it's 32min long 1080p, 8000 kb/s bitrate, 60fps, and it's 1,93 GB big. And i was have 720p version of this scene and it has 4000 kb/s bitrate, so file size was 965 MB. I was surprised by this. And really great quality.

More real ? Fuck that !

The Motion (Soap Opera Effect ! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_int ... ffectImage) is so fucking smooth and weird (i got some 21Sextury Clips with 50fps, and there are horrible ! i must ripp them down to 25fps, and this take Time !) that it looks like you play a DVD with 2x Speed, and the Picture stabilization is a mess ! Any little Camera Shake from the Cameramen is clearly visible, people move like surreal overspeeded Cyborgs. It looks like a Home Made Mobile Phone Production !

Buttplay.com -> Taissia Shanti -> 2 Minutes and 40 ! Look how the Picture move ! How she move, it looks like Shit ! or 13:00 when he penetrates her, it looks weird !

Now lets talk about the Encoding and Filesize.

50fps are are twice the Frames per Second.

LP use uneffective One Pass Encoding with way to many Kbps (4500 !!! for 720p) per Second (but because of one Pass the Bitrate is OK) with 2 Pass and the right Codec (x264 -> Best and fastest h264 Encoder) and the right Settings+Matrix you got a better Picture with just 3100 Kbits.

I tried many Settings, because it piss me off, when i got Clips with 2.8GB and they can use 32-33% less Space with the same Quality.

That's the x264 Settings that i use (and a special Quantization Matrix for HD Stuff)

Code: Select all

Just a Base Profile ! No efficient Motion Search (me=hex sucks ! me=umh is way better !)
To High Deblock Strenght !
To many Reference Frames (Ref=3 !) for Porn Ref=1 do the same Job, and it clearly speed Up the Encoding Process, and some fine Tuning is not there.

In the Post Attachment is the x264 Matrix that i use. That Matrix is build by a real Encoding Specialist from the Doom9 Forum.
The Matrix is to use with "Deblocking Threshold" 0 and Deblocking Strength -3 and 2 Pass !

My Bitrate Settings for >2 Pass< Encoding with my Settings and that Special Matrix
1280+720 = 2000
2000 x 1.55 = 3100kbps !

Now the LP Bitrate Settings for >One Pass< Encoding
1280+720 = 2000
2000 x 2.25 = 4500kbps !

Maybe LP use 1Pass because there Watermark overlay Script can just handle One Pass Encoded Stuff, but maybe not, and then LP got 32-33% more Traffic+Space as needed !

Now the LP Bitrate Settings for >One Pass< Encoding and 1080p
1980+1080 = 3060
3060 x 2.25 = 6885 kbps !!!!!

Now what i use in that Case
Bitrate Settings for >2 Pass< Encoding with my Settings and that Special Matrix

1980+1080 = 3060
3060 x 1.55 = 4743 kbps !!!!!

;)

When LP Compress the Original Stuff from the Cam, with there Default Settings, and then the Original Cam Stuff with my Settings, i'm pretty shure that the second one looks more like the Original from the Cam !

Even 1080p is then possible to Upload for LP with my Settings, because then just 4743kbps are needed (now they use 4500 for 720p) not 6885 kbps ;)

Great reply! Thank You! Some clips definitely looks weird, but some not. I rip almost every video because have so bigger nitrate and file size,... But i want to try your settings with the special matrix. But i don't know where to begin. Which program do you use for converting? I use Handbrake. But don't know where e to file with the special matrix i need to put and how to apply,... I will really thankful if you help me. I wanna try it. Thank You! :)

The Matrix give just the Final Polish ! It's optimized for High Quality Footage. (not for DVD Quality or worse)

You can use the Standard h264 Matrix too (but i Recommend the MPEG Matrix, most Tools got the Option for the FLAT JVT Matrix or MPEG, the MPEG got a sharper Image, but it's a little bit Slower)

I think you can set my Settings in Handbrake too (Disable VAQ when u use a Costum Matrix and Trellis ! VAQ can do strange things with a Costum Matrixm and Trellis, i always disable VAQ because Psy RDO and Psy Trellis are way better, and disable MB Tree if you got the Option, it speeds up the Process and you dont lose to much, many x264 Recommended Settings are useless for Porn ! They just steal Speed and you get nothing for it ! and play a little bit with the Deblocking Strenght ! Deblocking avoid Pixelation, but at the same Time it
take away little Details and make the Image a little bit Blury ! I think -2 is ok for the Default Matrix)

I use many different Tools for Batch Encoding (any Tool is Opensource, or by my self coded, because i dont thrust the most Free Tools out there)

As Compression Codec i use a special (the KMod) x264 VFW Codec with Advanced Settings (the Basic one just use MPEG4 Standard Profile Settings, you just select Profiles, Kbits, Deblocking Strengt, and 2 other Settings ! It sucks ! That what you saw in the Pictures above is the KMod where you can configure anything that is possible with a VFW Version)

As Decompression Codec and for Downresizing 1080 Stuff to 720p (i dont need 1080p, but i always take the Version with the Highest Resolution for Down Sizing) i use FFDShow, because

a)it's just one Codec in the System (not a damn Codec Pack that fucks up your System) that Decompress 95% from the Codecs out there
b)it's the fastest h263,h264,AVC Decoder out there !
c)no Decoder got so many Picture Manipulation Options

Then i use AviSynth.
It's hard to describe what AviSynth is (it's a Decoder with a own Script Language and Scriptfiles that give/send a Clip >Frame for Frame< to Players or Video Edit Tools that dont support the Codec that is used in the Clip, and it has tons of Filters)
but with FFDShow&VirtualDub&x264 KMod (all with the right Settings !) together you get the most Encoding Speed that is possible, and a realy good Picture Quality.

Then i use 3 little Tools from me. (this little Tools use Opensource Commandline Tools like MediaInfo, mkvmerke etc)

One Show if a File use to much Bitrate in % and can create AviSynth Script Files from these Files.

For Batch Encoding i use VirtualDub !

Another Creates a First Pass, Second Pass, Batch Script (these Script is a Joblist !) with VirtualDub Setting Files for VirtualDub
and the last Merge the AVI File that VirtualDub Creates and the OGG File (i dont like AAC) to a
MKV File (MP4 sucks ! MKV is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better)

And OggDropXP to Encode the Wav Files that VirtualDub Creates from the Batch Joblist.

It's sounds very difficult and awkward but i'm trained, i can do any Pre Work (lets say for 100 Files) in max 10 Minutes.
And the Encoding Speed that i get is 10-15 Frames per Second Higher as in other Tools with the same Settings !

And thats a lot, when you think that just a Single Clip got 30-90 Minutes of Material :)

For the non Freak Handbrake is Ok :)

Paranoid Freaks like me, that dont thrust Freeware (most got Adware ! Even Free Antivirus Tools like Avast got a fucking ASK Toolbar ! And that fucking Toolbar is Spyware !) and ""Update Functions"" just use Open Source Stuff :)

Nice, thank You! But i still don't know how i can use special matrix .cfg. I don't know where i need to put file, or how to open it and apply this special matrix setrings. I'm very happy with Handbrake. Really easy to use. I have it under Mac and under Windows too. But please help me with that cfg. Need to know what i should do with it. Need some other stuff? Or putting in some Handbrake directory or MeGUI? Thank You again.

I dont have Handbrake installed (i heard in the past that @ some Point in the past Spyware was integrated, so i dont use it)

You can use the Matrix just with Tools or x264 VFW Versions that support a Costum Matrix, when a Tool/Codec support a Matrix you can pick the Option "Costum Matrix" (or something like that)

Another Way >without< a Costum Matrix and the same Speed+Batch Encoding is to use

XMediaRecode ! It give you all Options for x264 except a Costum Matrix (the Default FLAT Matrix will be used)

When the Default Flat Matrix is used "Mediainfo" show "cqm=0" when a Costum Matrix is used it shows "cqm=2"
when the MPEG Matrix is used "cqm=1"

What i do many Times is to Downsize (i use the "Fast Bilinear" Filter. Biliear, BiCubic, Lanzos and higher dont Worth, they take to many Speed and you get nothing that you can see when you watch something ! And even on still Images you must look 3 Times :D )
1080p and 720p to 1024x576 (Keep's the Aspect Ratio) and 2480kbits.

Then i have 30FPS more for the First Pass !

And it looks like the 720p 2Pass Versions with 3100kbits.

I got a 19" TFT and run 1024x768 so i doesnt matter for me if its 1080p,720p or 1024x576

How a Matrix work.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantizati ... n_matrices

EDIT: Sorry, was i was confused. MediaCoder was the Easy Batch Convert Tool with Spyware/Adware/Nagware not Handbrake.
